Cathleen, you are a star! Thank you so much for these clips. Considering the difficult circumstances, they are excellent. I love Oksy's suggestion too but I somehow think it is unlikely that Hayley would include these on a future album. She might possibly include one track from her CW days but, other than that, she would probably chose to move on to something new. Go on, Hayley, prove me wrong! Roger

You're most probably right, Roger. We can only hope that some of the songs will be featured as bonus tracks in future albums.

Wow Richard, I can hardly wait til Saturday....my very first Hayley concert!!! As an added bonus, I get the opportunity to see several other talented performers on stage that evening. (It's like getting a second helping of strawberry cheesecake after eating a full course meal of medium-well sirloin steak, baked potato, and a nice cold glass of sweet iced tea!) That previous post just made my waiting a bit harder, and raised my expectations a bit further!! Why again hasn't the rest of the world caught on to the addiction that is Ms. Hayley?? Regards, Eric P.S. I'm grabbin' me a snack...a bit hungry now. =)

Stephany, As long as Ms Hayley is on stage at some point in the evening, it will be a worthwhile trip! I figure I'll be too star-struck to write an awful lot about it! I'm from a small town, you know...we don't have a whole lot of training for this type of situation.

Cathleen, You are a brave individual indeed! I was too nervous when I went to even try to photograph!! Thanks for the clips...it brought back such sweet memories! (It's a good thing a guy like me doesn't get all emotional!) Well, to let every one know, I did attend my very first concert of Ms. Hayley this past Saturday evening ( March 31) in Raleigh, NC with Celtic Woman. It was sooo worth the trip!! They were amazing!! Especially Ms. Hayley!!! There's nothing like it!!!! I did not get to meet Ms. Hayley (which I would have thoroughly enjoyed); however, I did get to sit close enough to be able to see everyone clearly. The atmosphere before the concert seemed to be a little tense, probably more anxious than anything else. It could be that I'm just not used to these types of concerts, though it still struck me as rather odd that no one else was as giddy or ready to rush the stage as I was! (Then again, about half of them seemed to be blessed with "years of experience and wisdom" and not in the best physical condition for such activities as jumping, etc.). Maybe it was just my nerves! Regardless, both the quick song turnaround and Mairead's prancing about seemed to lighten the mood. Of course, when Ms. Hayley and the other girls came out, my face lit up like a schoolboy on Christmas morning! I had to have had the goofiest look on my face....my eyes bugging out, my ear-to-ear smile, and me sitting on the edge of my seat!! (Maybe it was a good thing, Ms. Hayley did not know who I was) Chloe and her solos were magnificent. She also blended quite well with Hayley on the "Last Rose of Summer." Orla and Lisa were both sensational with their solos (I absolutely loved Lisa's "Caledonia" and "The Blessing"); and Orla's harp-playing and rendition of "Carrickfergus" seemed to have touched the ladies sitting beside me. It was beautiful! (As was also her solo of "The Water is Wide"). Mairead was amazing as always with her playing and her dramatic interpretations. The drummers brought the crowd to life (with the younger segment being more vocal about it) during songs like "Mo Ghile Mear." With their voices blending together in perfect unison and the rich sounds of the "orchestra" surrounding them, they "wow-ed" the crowd song after song, culminating into a grand finale that brought the young and the old in a unified standing ovation (after ovation after ovation). What a treat so see such a concert!!! If after-concert sales were any indication, the CW merchandising crew had their hands full for quite a while!! Having said all that, the highlight of my evening was still the solos with Ms. Hayley!! She was so lovely that evening!! Words would not do justice for the way she touched this young man. I truly felt blessed to have been in attendance....I "almost" choked up a bit during "Danny Boy" (and truthfully, several others). Her addition to the songs "At the Ceili," and "Dulaman" were perfect! They were sooo beautiful!! Her voice just melts the heart! As far as I could tell, "That New Zealand girl," (the eloquent description from the two ladies beside me), created some noise that evening among the "PBS crowd." To briefly summarize, I truly enjoyed myself that evening. An experience like that does not leave, and I wish I had the words to effectively convey the event itself and my reaction! However, I'm sure that those who have been able to hear her (or CW) perform in person, understand what I'm saying. She sang as if she was performing before a theatre full of royalty, when in fact it was just a room full of ordinary Americans! What a lovely young lady!!! Ms. Hayley, thanks for making that concert extremely memorable! Regards from an "amateur and biased" analyst and "long-winded" fan, -Eric

Eric, Many thanks for the fabulous review. Looks like you had a fantastic evening - and knowing that Hayley was at her best makes it even better. Sounds like she totally recovered from her cold! Many fans said she was a perfect addition to the song "At the Ceili" because she is very playful with everyone. I bet you can confirm that! She also seems to enjoy a lot singing "Dulaman" so it probably helps a lot to make it sound incredible. I envy you and everyone who has been able to attend a CW show i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Many thanks for your excellent report, Eric! Hopefully you will get the opportunity to see Hayley in one of her own concerts before too long, then you will have a better chance of meeting her. That is an experience I can thoroughly recommend, having met Hayley sixteen times so far! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

It was in London and I booked into a hotel and had to get there by train after the concert. I was still grinning from ear to ear when I went down for breakfast next morning Heaven knows what people thought Re your last comment in brackets. Don't be too sure about Hayley not knowing who you are. I bet she does now!! Best wishes Grant

I still don't know how you did it, Cathleen, but I really enjoy listening to your clips. I have a question though, at the end of "The Soft Goodbye", who actually hits the last high note?! I thought it was amazing. EDIT : Cathleen, I just noticed you added Sing Out on your Photobucket account. It was lovely to hear Hayley on this song. Many thanks for sharing!

Hi Stephany, Yes, I added all of Sing Out and a 1-minute clip of Mo Ghile Mear. That's all I have that includes Hayley! I think the high note on 'The Soft Goodbye' is hit by Chloe. I'm not totally sure, but Chloe is really good at hitting those type of notes and it sounds like her.
