Steve, I knew which dress I wanted to vote for before I saw the photo, in which she is looking at the camera. Even so, I'm pretty sure I've seen photos of her in that dress that I like better than that particular one.
So, the photo doesn't have that much to do with it.

It's become generally referred to as Hayley's "iTunes dress" because it was at the iTunes Festival that she first wore it, although she has worn it quite a lot since and it's very popular with fans.

That dress has a chequered history. She wore it at the free iTunes concert in July 2008 in London. I was one of those who were fortunate enough to be there. Afterwards, certain disparaging comments were made about her dress, unjustified in my opinion and she didn't wear it again in public for over a year. Then, I happened to post a picture of her from that iTunes concert on HWI, and several people commented how much they liked the dress. A few days later she wore it again at a concert, and has done so a number of times since.
It is a nice dress, and I too wondered why it was not i this poll. I'm not aware that it has ever been included in any HWI dress poll, so I'm with Nicola on this one!

I looked back at all the dress polls since the Itunes concert, and I couldn't find it in any of them. That's surprising. Especially since I thought I remembered seeing it in one, but I guess not. You can remember that for the next poll, Jillian. Don't forget about one for all her hair styles. Oh, and maybe one for her all her different types of jewelry, but maybe do each type of jewelry separate. One for earrings, one for rings, etc. I notice that earrings seem to be her staple, though.  |
