Many thanks Grant and Karsten for the reports and superb photos. It was fascinating to watch Hayley at the soundcheck, working so diligently with the sound engineers (and one in particular ) to get things just right for us. I found her hand signals interesting, pointing up or down depending on how she wanted the level adjusting. You don't get to see that in theatres so it was well worth making the effort to arrive early at the cathedral (and making a donation for its upkeep, of course.) Although I was unable to attend the concert itself at least I maintained my sequence of seeing Hayley at least every year for the last 7 years, a consistent record of great quality if not quantity ! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
Hi everyone, it seems as it was a great concert and a very special event, many thanks for sharing your impressions. And, of course, thanks to Grant and Karsten for the amazing pictures, I love them all, but specially the third of Karsten's last set (second post on this page), Hayley looks so pretty at it!
Thanks so much Grant for your excellent report of events. As usual, reading through, I could almost be there with you and being able to sit in the soundcheck was another real bonus.
Thanks also for the photos Grant & Karsten - superb quality as always. It really does sound like one of those 'special' events, like others that I have attended in the past. You are not expecting it, it just all comes together on the night, the song choice, the atmosphere the venue, the audience, the sound and the other performers. I was very sorry to have missed it.
