An extract from my review

Little did we know that one of the highlights of the evening was about to happen as Hayley introduced “One Fine Day”. WOW!! This performance by Hayley sent shivers down my spine from beginning to end, I loved it – what more can I say. As the applause died down, Hayley beamed a huge smile and let out a sigh of relief; explaining that she had been nervous about doing it tonight LIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME!! In fact, I think quite a lot of what Hayley sang was live for the first time as you will realise shortly. Hayley is obviously in very high spirits and enjoying herself, because she said so. She also said she was happy to be back in her second home after spending so long on a tour bus.

I may be wrong on the date, but I do remember George being with us and hoping to hear it and Hayley sang it..

Okay, thanks, Grant and Comet. I was a big fan then, but I wasn't on this forum yet, keeping track of every concert or live appearance she ever did. It was amazing enough that I stumbled across Hayley's performance of Abide with Me on the Hour of Power show, without even knowing she was going to be on! It was a wonderful surprise!

I just checked out the thread from the BBC Wales concert in 2007. Some great photos there. I've never seen Hayley roll her eyes that way before! Despite no video of One Fine Day as I'd been sort of hoping, I'm glad you pointed me to this thread!

Hey, speaking of Queen of the Night by Mozart, apparently that's Hayley's current ringtone (or was, as of the time of Nicola's interview with her for ClassicalCrossover.co.uk. So, you never know, she might sing it. Then she could have a ringtone of herself singing it!
