Don't forget, we're meeting at 5:30pm, and the Mermaid Theatre is adjacent to Blackfriars Station on the north bank of the River Thames. If you're travelling by Underground, Blackfriars is on the District and Circle Lines. It's an easy walk from Waterloo, so I'll wander over there when my train gets in

As one of our Irish friends might say Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!Yes folks, I managed to rescue my ticket at two minutes past eight this morning and I have to say a huge thank you to Geraldine at the BBC who rescued me. She was the same Scottish lady I spoke to yesterday and she even remembered my name and ticket number!! I'm now staying at the Euro Hotel Wembley, which I understand is very close to the tube station (Wembley Central on the Bakerloo I believe) Thank you everyone who expressed concern at my misfortune yesterday. Stephany and Joyce, I would be delighted to have you sing for me! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

Hi everyone Gosh - I'm SO pleased that Hayley will be appearing after all - now I can allow myself to feel excited again Grant, I'm also very pleased that you were able to sort things out so that you can still come with us - it would'nt be the same without you I've spent the last couple of days at a conference and have been out of action in terms of posting on the forum - what a lovely surprise to log-on to this morning. Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday Mark

Hello Grant! You will probably be able to get a snack in Blackfriars Station, or if not there are cafés nearby. St. Paul's Cathedral is only a short walk away and there are lots of places round there, particularly in Ludgate Hill. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

Hi Richard
I am planning to walk from Marylebone to Edgeware Road - then to catch the Circle Line to Blackfriars. Will that work without changing lines ?
I would welcome your thoughts.
Best regards
Mark.

Hi Mark, Well, yes it would work but, in walking to Edgeware Road, you are going away from the venue and it is 13 stops to Blackfriars! Much quicker to get the Bakerloo line at Marylebone and change at Embankment onto the Circle line to Blackfriars. That is only 8 stops in total. Just a thought: Can you not come into Paddington? Then you're on the Circle line. TUBE MAPClick icon at bottom right corner to enlarge! Roger

Hi Mark Just to add to Roger's comments. I used to travel to London for work quite a lot with work and relied on the tube to a great extent, but I never used the Circle Line if I could avoid it! At times you could sit on it for hours and go nowhere! What time are you coming to town? I shall come in on the Bakerloo maybe 4 ish and go for something to eat. If you would like we could meet up. Best wishes Grant

I also look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday. Just a quick question for the regulars at the Mermaid (that's you Caite!) - do people bother dressing up to go there or can we dress down like slobs as usual?

Are we going in uniform or in civvies? I think we should put up an HWI presence to make Hayley feel at home! Polo's, sweatshirt or tie that is the question!! Best wishes and good night Grant

Hi Grant, So pleased for you that your ticket was repurchased with minimum fuss. Enjoy your concert & tell us the new tracklisting as soon as you know it. Hayley herself will be able to listen to her own concert on Friday Night. Wonder if she will? Graeme
