Hi i´m a new member. This was my first concert with Hayley.I enjoed it very very much. After the show i get my CD signed and forgot all my english words. Wonderful Hayley made me speechless. Thanks all for the reports and wonderful photos. marcus Don't worry Marcus, those of us with English as a first language are frequently tongue-tied in her presence the first few times. Welcome. Glad you gained the 'direct experience'. Those of us fortunate enough to have met her a few times always make sure we push the new ones into the front row! Peter S.

Unfortunately the lenses weren't wide enough to picture Tim, too A problem I'm still tackling. Sony have at last brought out a video cam with interchangeable lenses but Sony doesn't like Apple and others will come come out soon to bring the prices down but they are too bulky to 'lose' in a theatre. Even on still cameras wide angle lenses tend to be quite bulky. Peter S.

Mark, you have done well. Providing us with a lovely projection of the area which I am sure will enlighten many of our farther away members. 'Location shots' I think help to set the scene.
Thank you
Peter S.

grant,... wikipedia isnt so sure though i do get the point. It is indeed a seashanty by origin so to speak; the key concept i was getting to is "associated", since the missouri is either a river or a state, but not a sea, it isnt unreasonable to associate it with country music [ive always thought of it as a country song]. the original 1910 lyrics as quoted in wikipedia are " Miss-ou-ri, she's a mighty riv-er./ A - way you rolling riv-er. {etc} not really conjuring up a set of marine imagery me thinks
i of course will foreve think of a pretty blond... im off to give myself a hayley overdose and get my shopping done.

However the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and West Virginia was the the site of a three year battle during the civil war in the 19th century. The battle was finally won by the Federalist General Sherman. But the old folk song Shenandoah does predate the civil war. Larry
