Libby in New Zealand, Ronan's album Stay has the song but I don't think any other country has it.

I knew the song was on both albums, but I'm pretty sure the duet wasn't on Ronan's.

Oh, Libby, if I am not wrong, the duet is only in the New Zealand edition of Ronan's album.

Here is something very interesting I found by coincidence: muzyka.onet.pl/10180,90251,158528,plyty.html - A Polish review of Winter Magic. The text is a translation of an English review (as far as I remember), however the interesting thing is that it says it was released by Universal Music Polska. I have my doubts about if we can trust this site (it's a well-known general internet portal), but that would mean that Winter Magic was released in Poland (with the UK tracklist? weird...). In the same site, the search for Hayley Westenra's albums gets messed up and mixed with Hayley Williams, but here are the results: muzyka.onet.pl/0,0,0,1,-1,plyty.html?str=Hayley+Westenra It says that Pure was released by Decca, I am not sure if Decca exists in Poland with that name, so I don't know if it means it was released there or not. It says A New Journey was released by EMI Music Poland, it would be not a big surprise if that album was actually released in Poland as Poles are quite fond of Irish music... However, the short info about the album is very unclear and probably written without knowledge, as it seems to say that Celtic Woman IS Hayley. When I have more time, I will do some more research to confirm if any of those albums were actually released in Poland, but if anyone else knows anything, I would be very interested. Maybe I am getting offtopic here, but just to keep this issue concentrated, I'll continue here, and if moderators considerate it appropiate, please, do move it to a more relevant thread. In the same page there can be found 6 videos matching Hayley Westenra: www.onet.tv/(Hayley_Westenra),1,tag.html# I am very surprised, as the only of those videos I've seen before is the Who Painted the Moon Black videoclip. But the other short clips from the songs Both Sides Now, What you Never Know, My heart belongs to you and Never saw blue? I never seen them before, nor the EPK. Michal

Well it's possible I have a tin ear ; but I thought Winter Magic was a great album. I still play it year round. Perhaps we should support Hayley more than criticize her.

I have ambitions for trying to persuade our organist to use Hayley's tune for "Love came down at Christmas" for our communion service on Christmas Eve, which I shall be leading. Don't know if I shall succeed! Martin D

My church sang it too!! It was the only Christmas song we sang though. Since there was only one, I'm glad they chose this one, because it's one that's not played quite as often as some others. I mean, it's not rare, or anything, but one that deserves to be heard more than the dumb Rudolph and Santa Claus songs.

We sang all of the verses that are in Veni Veni Emmanuel, except in English, of course.

Hello folks! 'O Come O Come Emmanuel' is an Advent hymn rather than a Christmas carol, so it's always sung on Advent Sunday. Richard

Ah, that explains it. I was thinking they usually sing it at the beginning of the season. Never thought about why that is. I guess I thought it was because it's less common, it won't be too much Christmas all at once for people. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif But if you work at a store that sells Christmas stuff, you get Christmas starting at the end of September!
