I get many e-mails on my website from singers asking me to include them, and most of the time they have no representation or are not eligible, so I wasn't expecting much when I opened an e-mail titled 'Linda Tolchard'. They offered to send me her album, and left me her web address. So I clicked. What I heard nearly brought tears to my eyes - nearly, because my dad was in the room and I wanted to hold them in. Her tracklist is as typical as they get, but wait until you hear her sing: www.lindatolchard.com/music/I am now waiting with bated breath for her album to come through the door.

Hello Nicola...well I guess this just shows that our tastes in music are individual indeed...I listened and must say I'm not that impressed. Not to compare her to Hayley Westenra (she just isn't as good at all) but I find this girls voice just average.....I think I have heard better on this forum in the "other music" thread. But I am glad you enjoy her! Eva

Her voice reminds me of Emma Shapplin. I'm not sure she will picked up by a major record deal, as they tend to be ageist. Which is a shame. I don't think she is as good as Hayley. She's a hard one to match.

I'm doing her write up today. Considering she did the album herself, it is really good. And she has such a lovely voice. My favourite is the one she composed herself though.
