Hello folks! I have a CD in my collection called 'Let the Bright Seraphim' which features trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins and soprano Jeni Bern. One of the tracks is the third movement of Handel's Trumpet Concerto in D, which is similar to the Hornpipe from his Water Music Suite No.2 with some subtle but noticeable differences. Classic FM play this very track quite regularly, including during today's Most Wanted, but they always say it's the Water Music, which it isn't. I've now found a video of the complete concerto, so you can hear it for yourselves. The third movement starts at 6:39. This is the Trumpet Concerto: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIzgayrp7gEThis is the Water Music: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRNmXwNnB9wThis is a smack on the head: www.youtube.com/watch?v=syQq1KWpS7oSpot the differences, Classic FM!
