LOL!!! Rowan Atkinson is such a gifted comedian! Although Hayley had her's after Jonathan, so she must have known what she was in for... But not necessarily what was in it! I felt a bit squeamish reading what they had for dinner but it was worth entering the thread for the Mr. Bean link! Dave

Though to be honest, I'm really curious.. if I ever go to a restaurant (a reputable one, mind you) and it's on the menu, I might just give it a try. My grandfather was a butcher and he always maintained that a real butcher always tasted his mince and rissoles before selling to make sure they tasted good -- so he had no problem with eating raw beef. I would have cringed at the thought of eating it about a year ago...but I think I would be game to try it now too! If I see it at a nice restaurant I think I'll order it. I've conquered raw salmon. I've always wanted to try the Japanese dish with very rare steak, can't remember what it's called..

Lawnmowers and wardrobes, I have listened to Selling England by the pound regularly since it's release in the early seventies and only recently got the cd as my tape decks seem to be falling apart and consuming cassettes like spagetti . It really is a very entertaining and witty album. I stil enjoy it emensely .. wow ! 36 years old and still sounds as fresh as today's bread !

It was quite good, despite it's bad image from school dinners, canteens, etc. (I had a ploughman's). That Sophie Raworth's name sounds very familiar...I wonder if she's ever presented the news on BBC America.

Yes, Joe, that's a great album. I those days they were everywhere. And I've waited 30 years to hear another equally great artist, and here she is, Hayley. She re-creates the excitement of those days.
But then, perhaps my favourite Genesis song is the one that starts
"Walking across the sitting room I turn the televsion off"
all 23 minutes of it. Magnificent!
