Moved from Ultimate Collection thread by Dave. There's two or three tracks I don't recognise, but for the ones that do, I am looking forward to only 'Bring Me To Live' - if it's the Evanescence song, it's going to be awesome. 'Angel', if it's Sarah McLachlan's version, is always a nice addition. 'No Woman, No Cry'? Could be interesting.
La Califfa is a better Morricone choice than Nella Fantasia, but it's almost as typical as the latter these days.
The track list doesn't look that bad, actually.

Moved from Ultimate Collection thread by Dave. Is that the Bob Marley song? If so it sounds facinating, I just can't imagine Katherine singing it.

Moved from Ultimate Collection thread by Dave. Product description of "Believe"
The first six years of Katherine Jenkins career have already been extraordinary in every sense of the word. But since moving labels earlier this year to Warner Bros Records she has, under the stewardship of producer David Foster (credited with the careers of Josh Groban, Michael Bublé and most recently Seal's comeback) made her most ambitious album to date.
Katherine spent the spring of 2009 in LA at Foster's studio, recording `Believe', the 7th album of her phenomenal career. Together they have produced a record of epic proportions that is set to take Katherine to new heights of success around the world.
With a broad mix of contemporary and traditional repertoire the record not only delivers for existing fans but will also broaden her audience across the globe. From the haunting Sarah McLachlan song, 'Angel', through to a stunning working of 90's Evanescence's 'Bring Me To Life', the mezzo soprano's unique vocal interpretations bind seamlessly with Foster's arrangement and production.

Good Grief Jillian!! I wonder if her record company knows about that. No Woman, No Cry is certainly different.

Hi Martin,
They sure do -- Katherine Jenkins linked to the page on her Twitter account. It's not a bad way to get some publicity for the album. I wouldn't be surprised if her record company paid the Mail to put that on their page.

Hi Jillian,
Well, I'd think, with the right software, you could rip it off. I might even have the right software, but I'm not going to try. I shall buy the album when it is released like everyone else. Actually, from what I can hear, it's pretty good.

The Daily Mail has a huge number of visitors from all around the world -- I suppose they figure the opportunity to have all these people listen to the album is worth the chance that a few might have the know how and patience to rip it. I like the songs on the album -- but I do get the impression that they've tried to be everything to everyone. I like albums which are an overall piece of work and have a 'theme' which links everything together and while songs may be different, they somehow logically flow on from each other. The end of the album seems to do that, but there is a little odd mishmash of pop at the beginning which throws off the balance, in my opinion. But overall, it's not a bad album at all.

Hmmm !! If you have Realplayer which is a free player you're offered to download each track as it begins playing. They all download as mp3's & have track no's only on them. Its obviously deliberate. Quality is good at 160 Kb/sec. Graeme

I wouldn't be surprised if her record company paid the Mail to put that on their page. Hello Jillian and everyone, Well this is a turn up for the books! Assuming that leaving the mp3 tracks downloadable and unprotected is deliberate policy by the record company and The Daily Mail, I see no reason why we can't discuss it, but the intention may not be for tracks to be downloaded (even though you can if you know how). In view of this, I may at any time change my mind about discussing how to get the tracks, partly depending on what else appears in this thread... For the record, here is the announcement on Katherine's official website: kj.tv/Dave

Wow, I had another look and I now I can't believe that the tracks were that unprotected. Surely a media player that was a bit more secure could have been used?
I think that streaming the album is a good idea -- but with a player that presents significant obstacles to the music being 'got at'.

Hi Jillian,
The more I think about this the more I think they don't intend the tracks to all be downloaded - if they did, there would be a "Download Now" button on the Daily Mail page, would there not?
Unless someone can persuade me that my guess is wrong before I go to bed in an hour or so, we will have to stop discussions about how to download the tracks and I'll remove the "tips" (sorry!).
Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
I think this is clumsiness on the part of Universal and the Daily Mail. There's no way that they'd want to encourage downloading. I think you're correct in wanting to remove the discussion.

Hi Dave and Jillian,
I believe I've seen this on the Daily Mail with other artists as well. They seem to be fine with it!
