Hi
I am really looking forward to the concert tomorrow evening. I am not going to be able to meet up in the afternoon. Our daughter, Helen is making her Hayley debut! So as I am with Denise and Helen and it is just 4 days to Christmas, I think the scenario is likely to be ... Shopping!
I know Helen is really looking forward to the concert so we will get there in time to meet at the venue (bar or foyer).
See you there,
George

Hi
Glad to hear Hayley is well. I would have gone to The Barbican concert but will be at an airport waiting for an early flight to sunnier climes. Have a great time all of those going.Hopefully see you at a Hayley concert or The Classical Brits next year.Happy Xmas and a good New Year to all.
Cheers Tony

Hi all Barbicaneers
Peter's going. Not sure about lunch though. One of my slow mornings so may not be arriving until close to the performance.

Conditions here are still treacherous and I have just discovered that all local trains are currently suspended (from Barnham to Three Bridges). With a forecast of sleet this evening, I think it would be foolish to attempt the journey.
Have a good time everyone and take care, Roger

Best Wishes, Graham Ditto the wish for trouble-free journeys. although it appears Roger has had to duck out due to rail problems. I have just checked my local weather map (30 miles north of London) and we're still suffering -3! To avoid clumping around in boots at the Barbican I'm thinking of taking a taxi but for my return, late hours costs might deter me in which case I might appreciate boots! Peter S

Hi everyone, I'm still suffering from a (slowly improving) slipped disc after two weeks but I may have risked the 2 hour drive and train journey to London this afternoon... however, after raining all day here on the Hampshire coast, it has turned to very heavy snow, is still snowing heavily and is accumulating now on the roads. It would be irresponsible of me to drive inland and over the higher ground towards London, where (in Hampshire & Surrey) conditions are already worse than here and reported as deteriorating fast. The late night return journey could be far worse. If any of you read this and see Hayley, please wish her a Merry Christmas from a sadly absent me... I look forward to reading the reports and seeing the photos. Dave from a sleety slushy squelchy and now very snowy Hampshire!

Have a great time everyone!! and be careful in the snow and ice... I attempted to just walk down the road to my local shop today because my mum's too afraid to go out in the snow, as earlier this year she slipped on some snow and hurt her back, she's also had an operation on her wrist earlier this month which means she's still in quite a bit of pain, (off topic sorry) but I could barely get out of my front garden without sliding in the snow, and have now hurt my knee .it's now been snowing continuously for the past 4 hours here in Berkshire and it's looking unlikely that I'll be able to make it to my Grandma's birthday party in Surrey on the 23rd Dave, hope your completely better very soon! Have a wonderful time...looking forward to all the reviews and pictures later.. Edit: It has now been snowing here in Berkshire for 6-7 hours non-stop and apparently it will continue until 1 in the morning!!! my dad is stuck at work and won't be able to get home because of the snowy roads and a tree has fallen down across the road in my road and my cat is insisting on staying outside getting buried in snow...everytime we approach her she runs away further into the garden...and I'm completely frozen - can't feel my fingers as i type this! so things aren't looking too good at the moment!! I hope it stops soon!! to get back on topic I can't wait to read the reports and see the pictures from the concert, normally I love snow, I think mostly because normally we don't get that much...but at the moment I've had enough!!! thanks Best wishes Sing

Seems to be a bit sleety in London at the moment, the temperature did go above freezing I think but I suspect it's going to drop rapidly! I'm hoping I'll be able to make the walk over to the venue without falling over

Hi everyone Sorry to hear that you can not make it tonight Dave & Roger. I have no such dilemma, as I was not able to go tonight in any case and said my goodbyes and Happy Christmas to Hayley at the Bath concert I am sure tonight will be a great night though and I too look forward to the reports and photos that will no doubt follow on tomorrow. Enjoy the concert everyone that is going. Best wishes Mark

Well, "there's no snow here, it's stayed pretty green". But there is snow not too far to the East of here I hear. And Dave. I hear reports of blizzards in some of the higher parts of Hamphire, so I'm sure you are doing the right thing.
Sad to hear that some of you will miss out on what I'm sure will be a very special evening. Right now I think a bit of global warming would be welcome! Have a good time everyone who can make it.
Martin
