She sings good, but very different. I'm not really a fan of it. It is like opera (or it is just opera ) I like the song 'Time to Say Goodbye' I like it how it is sung by many magnificant singers, but when this lady sang it, it was a bit too fast. I know that at these talent shows the songs need to be shortcut, but it spoiled a bit of the song. But I'll blaim the show for that i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBut she is great I must say. My mom died of cancer, christmas 2006 . So I really have deep respect for this lady, to perform like that! Thanks for posting this! Sharon

Hi all, Too bad that Barbara Padilla didn't win AGT. That Kevin Skinner won It always seems that my favorite always takes second place. Joe PS...Susan Boyle's performance was amazing

I was disappointed she didn't win, too. Her newest performance of O Mio Babbino Caro on the finale was even better than the first one! It was more controlled, I think. And she looked great, too! I'm not really a fan of true opera, but her voice is pretty decent sounding. I thought Ave Maria was nice, but it was nowhere near as smooth as Hayley's version from RoD is. Not that I'd expected it to be, of course. I'll be interested in what songs she'll record in the future.
I thought Kevin Skinner did a good job, but for me his song on the finale was not a very impressive "winning song". It was okay, but I don't think it's just the song that got him all the votes. I almost wonder if it was fixed.
No worries, being 2nd won't prevent her from being a famous singer.
Yes, I thought Susan's song was very nice. I actually was more impressed with this than I Dreamed a Dream. She looks pretty, too. I must say I didn't understand a word of what she said when she was talking. I like Scottish accents, and I can usually understand them, but hers I really could not.

From all reports, Susan Boyle won as much as Kevin Skinner did, and maybe more! Her performance was fantastic, though.

Hello folks! I don't think the winners of these TV talent shows have any real advantage. The runners-up are often more successful in the long run. Richard

Yes, it really was the best part of the show! Even if Barbara had won!
I agree, Richard. Out of 9 American Idol winners, I think only 4 of them are even close to being considered hugely successful (Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, David Cook, and Jordin Sparks). Nobody ever hears about Reuben or Taylor Hicks, and who knows about Kris Allen right now.
