Hello everyone Decca have Tweeted about Hayley's upcoming release and have enclosed a link which is worth reading I will RT it to start spreading it around Hi Grant, thanks for that link... which is to the US arm of Decca and the US release of Winter Magic. This is the final proof that the US release will happen, release date 23 November. The track listing includes details of the song writers and track times; which I don't think we've had had listed before for non-Japanese versions and, apart from release date and catalogue number, also applies to the UK release: There are samples too, which I know we've seen before for the Japan version... but I cannot get them to play at the moment. Cheers, Dave

Well that was an opportunity missed! Hadn't spotted that it referred to the US release. I'll pay more attention next time Best wishes Grant

I'll pay more attention next time Hi Grant, It matters not if any of us miss anything, because we all know that someone else will notice it before you can say "Winter Magic". One thing I cannot determine from the above track listing and composers is if it will qualify for the UK classical chart. Only approximately five "non-classical/traditional" tracks are permitted (depending in the end on exact track lengths) and there are several borderline cases (because of their relative modernity) that could take it several tracks over the five, unless special dispensation has been given. We'll probably have to wait until Sunday November 22nd to find out (when the first classical chart after release will be published). Cheers, Dave

As a collector, I was looking for the differences between, the US and UK version, but it seems there is no difference!! Same barcode, same tracklist.......am I right to conclude, that the US version, is an imported UK one??? If not, i will order the US version too!!!

The US version has a different catalogue number to the UK one so the barcode (which contains the cat. no.) should be different too. I expect there will be a few minor differences in the inserts as I'm guessing the CD will be pressed and printed in the US. It may be worth waiting until one of our friends 'across the pond' gets a copy and highlights the differences(if any) for us. Best wishes Grant

Hi folks On the board link of the Winter Magic topics, it says that the release date of the UK edition is 16th November. Why then does Play.com, where I have pre-ordered the album, say 'expected release date' 30/11/09? Sites have different release dates (I think), but why does Play.com have its own release date of almost 2 weeks after the release date advertised on this forum?? Cheers, Ben

Hi Ben
Both Amazon and HMV are showing the release date as 16th November and I would trust them far more than I would Play.com whom I suspect have just not updated their info. Either that or they're working on a 'sometime in November' release date and with the 30th they can't go far wrong.
Might be worth paying 4p more and ordering from HMV!
Best wishes Grant

It would be quite annoying to still be waiting for the 30th if everywhere else were sending out the albums on the 16th! Cheers, Ben

Hello everyone Looks as though Hayley was right about the release date for "Winter Magic" Amazon are now showing the release date as 30th November HERE although HMV now have it at 23rd November! HEREThought at the time Hayley would be unlikely to be wrong in an interview promoting the album but which one do you now believe?? Best wishes Grant

So confusing! According to Nicola's very helpful site... these are the releases of other artists on those days... Moved for further discussion to the existing thread Winter Magic - charts & sales (only) by Dave
