The roads are horrendous in some parts. Black ice everywhere, take care everyone.

Hi all, I'm quite late with the short report about Hayley's last WM concert at Bristol Cathedral - sorry, but I had chosen hotels with no wi-fi this time. My journey from Frankfurt via Heathrow and Paddington went without any problem - the day before we had delays up to three hours in Heathrow. After dawn in London the sky remained blue and half-way between Paddington and Bristol even the snow disappeared. Just before Bristol Bath Abbey came in sight, a nice reminder at the wonderful concert one week ago. After the check-in I was on my way to Bristol Cathedral, unfortunately now under a cloudy sky, but it remained dry the whole day and fortunately for the drive of the party back to London the night, too. After a short Hello to the sound team who made their way from the snowy North to Bristol the same day I was quite sure that the show was fortunately on the way. So I made my way through the Cathedral chatting with a few kind people of the staff

before punctually the van from London arrived. After a short greeting Hayley went directly into the church and of course there should be no delay in the cold for her. When I arrived at the main gate just after 5:30 pm the queue had already started and it was a quite new experience not to be in front. Just after 6 p.m. more than 100 people were gathered in the cold

and the gates were open half an hour later. Fortunately the first rows weren't reserved so I got the second row. BTW, this evening Steve Abbott was in charge for the merchandising. The concert started with three nice pieces of the Bristol Cathedral Choir. Unfortunately the piano used for the accompanying of the children remained afterward for the whole concert just in front of Hayley's microphone. In addition the lighting was - how to say... - appropriate for a Christmas concert (i.e. with aperture 4.5 and ISO 6400 you got 1/25 sec to 1/80 sec shutter speed). Therefore sorry for the quality but I thought that there should be at least a few pictures. The song list causes no surprise, of course:
