I am planning a downloads page for Andrea, so if you have the clips, I wouldn't mind receiving them . Sure, I still have the avi files on my HD. The a/v quality for couple of Andrea performances isn't that good since I was recording from analog for first 1/4 of the show and there was lots of interference. The rest of the show was recorded from digital cable so the signal was much cleaner. I'm still trying to fix the problem with different video filters. Will let you know how things go I have some Andrea Bocelli music videos and live performances recorded over the years, if you are interested, I can send them to you as well. Have about 20 or so and will have couple more from Nobel Peace Prize 2004 later in the month. Allen

In an Andrea Bocelli thread on: Dave, I'll be uploading the mpg file [of Gotta Skate, Vivo Per Lei] later today. Allen Thanks Allen, I have the files! Now, I can set about making an even better quality version of the video as the audio bitrate is 224 kbps! Oh, I thought I should bring this back into the Hayley thread where the Gotta Skate discussion started! I am so impressed by this performance of Vivo Per Lei that I've made a separate post about it in the songs suggestions board hereCheers, Dave.

You reminded me so now I'm playing the video that Allen recorded - on autorepeat - and it's stopping me from going to bed!!! I thought I read the show wasn't on again until March? Or was that Canada... how many times has it been aired in the US, Joe? Cheers, Dave

Hi Joe and Dave, Good news that the show is on Bravo. The demographics of Bravo should appreciate Hayley and Andrea! Their albums should go up in the classical chart next week i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave, you're right, the show will be shown on CBC (Canada) in March. Now, I'm going to join Dave to put the video on repeat Allen

The way this article is worded makes it look like a new event but, presumably, it is yet another airing of the same thing. (?) www.channelcanada.com/Article1245.htmlBrowning and Bocelli join forces in Gotta Skate V Posted by: RAD on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 - 03:19 PM International superstar Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli joins one of Canada’s finest figure skaters, Kurt Browning, for GOTTA SKATE V, on CBC Television, Monday, March 6 at 8 p.m. Inspired by Bocelli, Browning and guests can’t help but feel infused by the music, lyrics and romance of Italy. Bocelli performs four songs with members of his symphony orchestra, taped at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. With 10 classical and seven pop albums to his credit, Bocelli is one of the world’s top musical stars, possessing a truly distinctive and original voice and style. New Zealand’s Hayley Westenra joins him on two numbers. The 18 year old sold over two million copies of her debut album, and it climbed to the top of the U.K. charts. Her new disc was recently released. Browning and his special guests skate their interpretations of the romantic music, sung in Italian and English. According to Browning, “I believe the music doesn’t have to be understood, it has to be felt. You want to know how the music makes you feel.” Skaters include World champion and two-time Olympic silver medallist Elvis Stojko, eight-time British champion Steven Cousins, Olympic gold medalists Jamie Salé and David Pelletier, Canada’s Shae-Lynn Bourne and bronze medallist at the 2005 World Championships, Italian Carolina Kostner. Alberta-born and raised, Browning is a four-time World and Canadian champion and a three-time Professional champion. He was the very first figure skater to land a quadruple jump in competition and has legions of fans around the globe. He can easily move from classic and elegant to funky and hip to comedic skating and is recognized for his extremely quick feet and personal charm on and off the ice. Currently, he is appearing on Skating With The Stars. KURT BROWNING: GOTTA SKATE V is directed by Shelagh O’Brien and produced by Antoinette Catricala. Executive producers are Kurt Browning, Peter Sisam and Sarah Clarke. It is an IMG Canada Ltd. Production in association with Broadcast Services International Inc., in association with CBC Television.

While checking the Andrea Bocelli TV schedule at www.bocelli.de/en/schedule.htm, I noticed an entry about some "iceshow" taped last October. Is it the Gotta Skate V special? May be someone from netherland can confirm that Allen

Yes!! I can confirm that the show will be on at a quarter to 12 at Midnight on February 17th!! In fact, just tonight I saw an advertisement of the upcoming show on TV for the first time. They showed three very short excerpts of Andrea - each of them in duet with Hayley. I actually came on here to announce this - but that's no longer necessary. I believe this is the premiere performance of Hayley on Dutch TV!! I am taping it for sure. I have taped the full show - apparently, the connecting comments by Kurt Browning were edited out, and so none of the songs are announced, nor is any reference made to the individual performers afterwards. I'll be busy in the next 24 hours or so to convert the full program to 1 video.
There was one thing I wasn't prepared for - the emotional experience of seeing Hayley on Dutch TV for the first time. I didn't quite think it would affect me as much as it really did. I was quite moved by the experience.

Hello everyone, I make no apology for resurrecting this old thread from nearly 2 years ago because I've just managed (at last and after a struggle!) to get Hayley's "Vivo per Lei" duet with Andrea Bocelli up at HWI. Now i've done that, the first video from the broken 2005 archives, I can gradually add further videos from that year to the site - but it may be a slow process as there are other priorities too. However... this duet is in my opinion one of the very finest that Hayley has ever done and it simply had to be the first to go up (yes I know it's on YouTube ) so here it is... with thanks to Allen (member Alien) who provided it and Gerrit who initially collected the file with others, from Allen. I have resampled it to below 500 kbps to help the Internet streaming process. As mentioned before, we believe this may be the only English language duet of Vivo per Lei sung by andrea Bocelli in existence. It was a no. 1 smash hit across Europe in the 1990s but never in English!) If you haven't yet heard and seen this, do not miss it! Vivo Per Lei Cheers, Dave PS there are three great photos of this event (provided by Erica Armstrong) with Hayley in dresses you may never have seen before or since, on page one of this thread... here!

Hi Dave,o Many thanks for uploading this very good video of 'Vivo Per Lei'. To be honest, the first time I watched it (before I became a "fan" of Hayley and registered on this forum) - I didn't really appreciate it simply because part of it was in English. Not that I have anything against this language, but at the time I was more used to the French version of Boccelli with Hélène Ségara. It's strange how I need time to fully appreciate a new song version. It was the same for "May it Be" - now I'm a fan of Hayley's take on it but the first time I thought it was okay but not that great. Shame on me, I know. Having said that, I would now be very interested to get the English lyrics. This is truly a wonderful version of "Vivo Per Lei". Very romantic ! Many thanks again Dave. Stephany

Thanks for this wonderful video Dave it is absolutely brilliant and I don't mind admitting that it made me cry! I just love the affection Hayley and Andrea show each other during this duet, particularly the bit where Andrea puts his hand gently on Hayley's shoulder and again, towards the end, where they put their arms around each other! Ahhh!! Just wonderful Best wishes Grant
