I would also like to wish Hayley a speedy recovery and I hope it's nothing too serious.

Arriving a few minutes early on the coach from Milton Keynes I took a fast walk to the Bridgewater Hall. On trading in my invitation for a ticket I was delighted to receive A12, a seat where if Hayley had been performing on the piano I would have been in a perfect position. Thinking that it was getting towards soundcheck time I quickly circled the building back to the artists' entrance to await Hayley's arrival. It was pouring with rain and I sheltered under a tree. About fifteen minutes later a kindly looking gentlemen (from a distance it could have been Grant's double) came over to ask who I was waiting for. Then the truth was out. (I was already on the coach when Dean received his twitter, so I was three hours behind the rest of HWI). I was also informed that All Angels were unable to the performance. Hayley's substitute was to be local tenor Sean Ruane. Suddenly my front row ticket lost some of it's value. I immediately sent a get well twitter to Hayley.

Sounds like our weather lately. One day it's cool and rainy, and the next it's kind of hot. If the sun's out, it's warm, but when the clouds come in, it's cool and breezy.

Hi Libby
Don't talk to me about weather! The night of this concert I was at Kilworth House, where Hayley once performed, for "The Opera Show. There is more about it on my website blog, it was an excellent show, which will be touring the US an Europe next year. But the torrential rain never stopped all evening. And this is an outdoor venue!!
Well, since the title of this thread includes the date when it happened, I suppose this is not OT.

Hi Libby Don't talk to me about weather! the torrential rain never stopped all evening. And this is an outdoor venue!! Well, it's better than snow that keeps coming all day, like we had last December. It would melt a little, only to then snow and snow lots more! The local officials are telling us a dam might fail, and the Kent Valley could be under as much as 10 feet of water! We get lots of rain in the winter, so I'm not at all unfamiliar with the situation you're describing! Although that usually doesn't happen in summer!
