I noticed that they had to "bump" the thread to the top numerous times to keep it in front of the members. That didn't seem to be required here. Bill

Hi Richard, Very True! There were times when several people were posting the same information simultaneously. Talk about a dedicated group. We were flying - NBR, NSR (No Bump Required, No Sticky Required) Any idea when TweeterWall will post the final results? Bill

Hello Bill! The results should appear under 'July Competitions' on this page in due course, unless we have to wait for the August results. Richard

I don't think you can blame Twitter for this. I believe that this contest was run by a shopping website www.mallspace.com as an attempt to get more hits on their domain. I don't believe it had anything to do with Twitter. They just had a clever programmer who found a way to link to the Twitter pages of the celebs. I think (and please don't shoot the messenger) that the whole competition was just to get traffic on their domain and that unfortunately, after everyones work, I don't think that the results are very important to them. The results don't get them traffic but the competitions do. I found this about Pollock New Media, the company behind it. Pollock New Media founder Ken Lemond said that the company intends to make use of viral marketing and blogging to promote the site. I suspect the whole Tweeter Wall of Fame is a very clever viral marketing campaign that is designed to get more visits to their domain. I can't see why a company would create something that was specifically designed to have everyone refreshing so often (which would create a high load on their servers) unless there was something in it for them. There was no advertising on the site so traffic is the only other possibility I could think of. Maybe there is someone on the forum with more web knowledge than I have who could comment.

You may well be right, but don't forget that apart from making sure that we got Hayley into a permanent position on the Tweeterwall, it was also about making sure that fans of the other singers in the competition knew who Hayley was and that she had some very dedicated fans. But perhaps most importantly, we proved to ourselves that we have an amazing ability to work together as a team and will do whatever is necessary to promote Hayley when the opportunity arises. That is what I feel to be the most important thing to come out of this competition and I also think that Hayley would value that aspect of the competition more than her eventual position in it. Best wishes Grant

Hi Dave, Jono and everyone Their thread has 21 pages, ours is on its 100th page! That says a lot! Yes it does, but most of their posts were just members posting to say they'd voted They seemed to be relying on the fact that they believed Pink deserved to be No.1 and that everyone else was cheating. Not a very far thinking strategy. Ross. Apart from the original photography thread which stopped at 169 pages (but ran for several years!) I think you are correct in thinking 100 pages is a thread record. Unless of course, someone knows differently Best wishes Grant

They must've realized some of her fans were voting while they were asleep, but they may not have realized that it was because it wasn't bedtime for these people! Unless they went to the trouble to find out where Hayley was from, they may have thought we were all just staying up voting without going to bed! We're not cheaters, they're just sore losers! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Too much information Martin! It's frightening to see Susan Boyle in 4th place and Marj Simpson in 8th!! I will certainly not be voting every 20 minutes for this one. Come to think of it, I won't be voting at all. Best wishes Grant

Well, there do seem to be a few weird celebrities among that lot! As for the crush, don't know Richard.
