Hi Grant
Thanks very much for this information. I'm new to university this year so I still need to see if my timetabling will allow it - it should do - if not il make it - and il need to sort out transport as well.
If I do go I hope to see you there!
Cheers
Ben

Hi Taylor, Thank you very much for your reply. Have read that thread, and it answers all my questions, and then some! Maya's post is very helpful. No doubt that I read all that at the time, but none of it apparently registered. Thanks again, BobS

It's because it's white, which shows up against the blue background of Taylor's post, but not up against the white background of yours. Every post takes turns being blue or white. Haven't you noticed? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Haven't you noticed? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDidn't see your message until just after I had eradicated my PS. I had looked back at Taylor's post and had seen a bright white "this", when I was thinking that I had seen green before. So I wiped out the PS. No, I hadn't thought about the posts take turns changing colors and affecting the color of the link, but you have certainly put your finger on the source of my confusion. Shall go back and look at it all again, and try to be more observant!!! Thanks, Libby, BobS PS Have gone back and looked. To tell you the truth, I had never noticed before that with every new post, the backgrounds of all the the others alternate colors. Never thought about it. That's how observant I am!!! If Taylor had used any color other than white for his link, I would still be oblivious to the color change. So - - Thanks again, BobS

Thanks for this Bob, Taylor and Libby, I somehow never clicked the link in the the original thread posts about this so it's new to me! Oh, and I've changed the white link to the more usual darker blue... Cheers, Dave

Thanks for the link Bob. TURQUOISE or TEAL Libby, but definitely not BLUE I'm pretty sure there's blue in teal and turquoise, Comet, otherwise it would just be Green. I was getting tired, and didn't care how accurate I was. And if we're being accurate, I would say the color is much closer to turquoise than teal. Teal is darker, and looks greener.

Hi all, A couple of weeks ago I came across a lengthy video of the Dave Foster Shanghai show that I very much enjoyed watching (at least part of it). The part that I enjoyed so much was watching Foster's interaction with the audience. He first singled out a Chinese fellow, asking his name, calling him up to the edge of the stage, and joking with him. Then he passed a microphone to two Chinese girls so that they could briefly demonstrate their singing ability. His whole interplay with the audience was so comical, and seemed to go over well with them. I rewound and watched that particular section several times. It looked like the video may have contained the whole show. (I didn't watch it to the end.) Unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it, and now can't find it again. I have googled everything that I can think of. I am hoping now that someone else from the forum may have seen it, and can furnish me with the address. If there should be a copyright problem, please pm me. I have found an abbreviated, much cut down version with just a small portion of Foster at his best, per below. (Starts about 6 minutes in.) www.tudou.com/programs/view/nYG9iSl5Shg/BobS

Hi, A mystery to me. A few minutes ago, in checking the site, "Who Talking - Hayley Westenra", I came across 6 different twitter accounts, each one in Russian, with a posting made about 5 hours ago, and which had just Hayley's name in Russian followed by, in English, (Hayley Westenra), and nothing else. It appears to me that each was picked up from the same source. Has anyone happened to have come across this? In taking a quick look at each site, each in Russian, the postings generally have to do with Russian based subjects. It is just so strange to see Hayley's name there. BobS whotalking.com/Hayley+WestenraEdit: Now less of a mystery. Just noticed that each of the 6 sites, under 6 different English names, has exactly the same Russian postings.

Didn't even know this thread existed. Neat. While I'm here, does anyone know if Hayley has ever performed In Trutina live? Wait, I know she has at least once. Let me rephrase my question- does anyone know where I can hear/see a live recording of Hayley singing In Trutina?

What I'm really after is one where she's a little older. There was a concert in Matakana in 2008 and I know she sang it then but I can't find a recording of it.
