Hi everyone,
With only 20 minutes to go before midnight, I have just realised the date! On 24th May 2003, HWI was launched which makes us six years old today. (The forum was launched exactly two months later.)
Happy birthday everyone and many thanks for your support.
Roger

Happy Birthday to HWI and all it's diverse membership all over the world. It has been a pleasure communicating with you all and meeting so many of you in person. I know we give the mods and the management a bit of a hard time sometimes, but that is what makes it such a pleasure to be here. If we all agreed all the time it would get very boring and stale pretty quickly..

Happy Birthday! What I want to know is what we have to do with Steeleye Span! I was listening to that album long before Hayley was born!! But it is good to be here. I'm late too, but I've been away for a few days on holiday with someone who just does not get Hayley, he is an opera fan and considers the singers to be interchangeable provided they meet a minimum standard. Even if Sue chimed in by saying that she regards Hayley's recording of O Mio Babbino Caro as the best she has ever heard. Perhaps that is why Hayley should not become an opera singer. She is much much better than the minimum standard that that requires. The only fix for that experience is to listen to some more Hayley!!

Hi Martin, In case you were wondering, yes I was aware that I had stolen the thread title from a Steeleye Span album! Now why didn't I think of that?! Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone! Roger

Spent years trying to get their wonderful arrangement of The Holly and the Ivy on a CD. It was the B side of Gaudete , what a wonderful sound they made.
I eventually got it on an Australian release on the Raven Label RVCD-90
