The local forecast for Saturday has improved a little. We can now expect only light rain and sunny intervals.

It is raining very heavily NOW here in Leicester. I hope you guys took your brollies and waterproofs. Or perhaps the minimilist way, just wear you swimming gear. I wonder what Hayley would make of an audience dressed like that! It would probably be a first!
Have a good one!

Looking at the rainfall radar, it's already raining at Hampton Pool, let's hope it eases up by 8pm (3 hours time) when Hayley sings. If the concert goers take up the offer for a pre-concert swim, perhaps it should be extended into the concert itself? Because then, the rain won't matter! I await the first photos ever of HWI members in wellington boots... or dressed for a swim... or swimming while Hayley sings! Dave

Perhaps she could sing "The Water is Wide" Martin

hi richard.. thanks for clarifying that... i did rather think sometihng of that sort since she prefers outside venues it seems
i dont think anyone will be swimming in the pool though.. sounds like you folk will have rain.. hayley and and a picnic kind of reminds me of millbrook in NZ... sigh. will i get my concert b4 next february? im starting to doubt though that would be [possibly] on my birthday which is wednesday... that would be kind of cool.

It was raining as people were queuing, but once everyone was settled and sitting down, it didn't rain at all. There were a few people swimming in the pool - whether they were there for the concert or not, I don't know. It was a lovely evening. I really enjoyed myself. I wasn't ready to hear Hayley sing Amazing Grace live after three days of using her version for my Nan's funeral, but apart from that, I enjoyed it all. We were treated to a new song, and Hayley played the piano. Highlight of the night was 'Wuthering Heights'. I was getting a bit tired towards the end and I was laying on Adam, but when that song came on, I perked right up again. As always, Hayley is an absolute pleasure to listen to. It's great to hear a singer that just never goes wrong and is flawless throughout. EDIT: I forgot to mention that Hayley's second dress of the evening was absolutely stunning. Didn't get a photo of it, and I imagine everyone has seen it in her other concerts but it was the first time for me. Just wait for someone to post a photo of it.

Hi All I'm back from a memorable concert which even the weather couldn't dampen. Hayley was in top form and despite the ambient conditions enthralled the audience at this very unusual venue. More to come but here is one image taken near the end of the concert. Martin [
