There's nothing like a beautiful girl in a red dress.

Hi Greatdane WOW. So many great pictures of Hayley posted in this past week. She looks great to me no matter what she wears...some of the dresses are stunning! Thanks for all the pics. Many of the pics posted have already been posted on the relevant concert threads. If you haven't already done so, find a couple of hours of quiet time and look through the concert threads, there are literally thousands of fantastic pics of Hayley out there. You just have to find them. Best wishes Grant

Hello Jillian! This photograph was taken by Roger at Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre on 10th July 2005. It was a very unusual concert, and you can read about it HERE. Best Wishes, Richard

Woah, look at those red heart shaped sunglasses! She should have worn those during the Valentine's tour! Hi Jill, A good idea from a fashion perspective; and the context of the tour .....except...... During February and March in the UK there is not much call for sunglasses Many found the concert at Bradford difficult to get to as the N.E of the England had about 4 inches of snow during the day ! Best Wishes, Graham

Ha, ha... Well, I guess Hayley could have been blinded by love! Anyway, I feel that I need to mention in this thread just how much I love this dress: One of my few criticisms of Hayley's fashion in the past is that while she's very casual and young in her day to day wear, she can occassionally dress too old and too structured for someone so young. Here, she looks every bit of a young girl in her early twenties in a free flowing fun little frock. Perfect! I also love her shoes! Of all the Daily Mail's photos, Hayley looks to be the youngest and freshest. www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1172160/Voluptuous-Katherine-Jenkins-Klasses-Mad-Hatter-Myleene-Classical-Brit-Awards-launch.htmlP.S I swear her hair is darker now....

Hayley's look shows class. Katherine's look shows the latest in heavy duty push-ups.

In my not so biased opinion, I think that Hayley was the best dressed there! Faryl Smith comes in second with her beautiful purple dress. It's nice because it's both age appropriate and glamorous enough for a young girl wanting to look like a princess for the cameras! I wonder what Faryl will wear to the Classical Brits? I hope she wears something princessy and flash to signify that she's arrived on the scene -- a bit like Hayley's 2004 blue sequined 'mermaid gown'. At any rate, Katherine Jenkins must have been stealing ideas from the 'Dress Hayley for the Classical Brits' thread, because it seems to me (going off small photos) that she's wearing these shoes I posted: Ha, ha -- not that it's groundbreaking -- those Christian Louboutin shoes are quite popular at the moment! EDIT I got a better look while watching the video posted in the Media thread and yes indeed those shoes are one in the same!

I managed to find a full picture of Hayley wearing the black dress we were discussing a page or so back: She wore it during a concert in Southampton in 2007. I also found a photo of this dress she wore during the Massed Choral Event in Cardiff in 2006. I've never seen it before -- has she worn it more than once?

Hi Jillian I don't recognise the other dress at all. Have you looked to see if there is a thread for the concert? I don't remember that either! Huh! Found it HERE Some pics taken by Dave. Guess there's still areas of this forum I've yet to explore! Best wishes Grant

Jillian, without a doubt this forum thread has been among the most well-received in HWI history. Look at all the views it has garnered since it was started just weeks ago! What's more, for all we know it may have factored into Hayley's response to the Brits this year -- that she didn't really care whether she wins, just that she puts together the right look.
The reason this topic wasn't covered to such an admirable extent before is that Hayley Westenra just wasn't about fashion until very recently. This year her career is about being the total package, and not just a youthful star. Sophistication is truly setting in, and I think, Jilian, you're spotlighting its trajectory.

I know what you're talking about Steve, Hayley does seem to be getting more involved in the fashion side of things over the last year or so. That's probably got a lot to do with Hayley becoming a bit older and getting more interested in that sort of thing as well as getting to know what suits her adult body best and becoming more comfortable with it. What's interesting is the way that Hayley seems to have been left alone to make her fashion transitions by herself -- one would normally think that such things would never be left to chance. Most young Hollywood stars are ruthlessly styled to perfection by professionals from the word go. But granted, the classical arena is something altogether different. Spotlighting its trajectory, eh? Ha, ha -- I hope so! We've done so much delving into the past in this thread it's been like a greatest hits package! We'll need some new inspiration eventually, though. I've wondered a little bit about whether I may be putting pressue on Hayley by drawing attention to her clothes, but as you said, it is the whole package. Also, this thread is a positive place (I can't recall anyone ever saying anything mean spirited about any of Hayley's choices) so I'm sure it's nice that it's known that we notice all the effort she goes to with her hair, dresses and makeup! P.S .. I must admit that this thread is having the strange side effect of causing me to want a pair of boots... not that I'd know what to do with them... I'm not sure it ever gets cold enough here for them to be of any use!

I love most pictures of Hayley, but that very last one on reply #79 is not a very good look on Hayley. Tons of makeup, and her hair looks like they're trying to make her look like a rock star. It's not that bad, but it's probably my least favorite photo of Hayley.
