I think the link there is that Hayley was trained in that line.

Rod Steiger and Sidney Poitier Who are they? So, if I have never heard of the person, anything they did the past means nothing? Is that what you're saying? It's only the icons that "accomplished" anything? Wow. Hmmm, maybe you aren't as well-read as you think you are. The profiles of both these actors are readily available if you google them. And no, as usual, you intentionally misunderstand what I say. I'm saying that if you are at all well-read or have any kind of well-rounded knowledge, most icons should have crossed your path, even those from 60 years ago. DD isn't one of them.

That will be all of the mud-slinging.
Any more and this thread will be locked.
Too bad that someone who has discovered a voice from the past had someone shoot it down in flames.

I think she's beautiful! Her voice isn't my favorite, but I do like her!

Classy! The 40's and 50's women were very elegant.
She had a great voice too!

Do not assume what I "should" know if I have any sort of "well-round* knowledge, when you are not of my culture, my gender, my generation or my line of education.
But on topic, I clicked on her 'Nesson Dorma' video. Wow. I had no idea that the aria was tackled by a soprano so far back, and sung in English too! It's a wonderful video. I found the audience reactions a little irritating (I just wanted to watch her), but I assumed that would mean more to me if I knew the film in its fuller context.
