Thanks Belinda for your news update. I have now registered with ticketek but whether I will be as well with them as the two theatres individually remains to be seen. Hopefully they can arrange for collection at the box office as they may not mail early enough for me to still be here.

Hi Rodders. For Me Christchurch and Auckland, the latter questionable at the moment.
Thank you Graeme for your photos. Come on Kiwis. This is your time to show your paces, making us 'others' aware of what NZ has to offer especially the locations of Hayley theatres and of course write-ups on the performances--this poster will be on holiday!

Hi Peter Regarding your flight arrangements to NZ for your trip, there are some very good airline offers at present as they are all finding it difficult selling seats. Examples are Travelbag and the Flight Centre who are offering flights to Auckland for £499! A bargain.

Martin That is interesting Martin, cheaper than I have found so far but because of my circumstances I am in consultation with one of Wexas' project consultants on whom I am relying to put the whole thing together. She is a Kiwi as it turns out. I did pick up one for £450 into Christchurch BUT you have to look into the details. All is not necessarily what it seems! Peter S.

Hi Peter, I think they would also let you pick them up before the concert. as ticketek is at the town hall. But if you want to get them sent to my place, so you know you have them for sure, the offers there. Last time i scanned them , so they could see the tickets had arrived more exciting that way.

I'll let you know. Thanks Belinda. Sorry I missed you at the chat, it obviously went on a long time. Coming in so late I thought everyone else would have gone home.

Hi All, this one is dedicated to Rodders but i suspect he knows the venue very well. James Hay Theatre (Christchurch Town Hall Centre for Performing Arts) Capacity up to 1,006 people. The James Hay Theatre is a sophisticated theatre featuring a proscenium arch and comfortable tiered seating made up of an upper and lower gallery. It has a functional fly rig system making it a flexible venue for productions and presentations that need a quick change of scene for creative impact. It is ideal for live theatre, opera, ballet, seminars and conference plenary sessions. A signatory event is the popular themed dinners held on the theatre stage. The first time I saw Hayley perform with my own eyes was in this very pleasant venue !!! Remember March 20th Everyone. www.ticketek.com/Graeme

I don't think I'll be attending this concert i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHowever, I noticed a street named 'Armagh Street' (my home county) near the venue. Does anyone know the history behind the naming of this street? I'm interested to know, if anyone has any information.

Hi IHF, If you plough thru this a bit you'll likely come across the sort of thing you want. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_New_ZealandChristchurch as a city was established as an "Anglican" Community. The immigrants were very often of Irish nationality. (including Hayley's forebear Captain Westenra & his family who arrived 1850 odd.) all the best, Graeme
