Hayley with the 'multi-colour-dress' she has chosen recently for Gawsworth and Hampton appeared, the first words of Prayer a capella.

And just after Prayer Grant got his very special moment. Here's Hayley 'urging' him to stand up.

As Ben already wrote, four pieces were to follow; for Shenandoah and its 100 verses 'the doors were locked' again.

Sitting in the front row I restricted myself to take photos only during the applause and hope that I haven't disturbed Hayley excessively. At this point many thanks to all who were so kind to tolerate the photography: all on stage, of course and the friendly staff, too. (Special thanks for the very appropriate lighting ) The first hour went away imperceptibly and the interval was filled chatting with the other HWI guys as well as with a few very friendly ladies who were a bit curious 'if it was worth the trip...' of 700 miles - and yes, it was, every minute and every mile. The quire started the second half, and after a short introduction of Michael Collie regarding the origin of 'Westenra' and the right pronounciation Grant mentioned already - of course only a matter for native speakers, but at least I'm able to understand her even with a what-so-ever accent - Hayley was back on stage with the 'usual' long black frock.

The usual piano piece was a bit surprising after the programme had announced Sonny - we all got 'Talk to Me', the fifth time for me and I've to confess that I've got used to it in the meantime It's definitely 'simple', but at any rate simply great.

The quire came back and after another native-speaker-insider joke about the multilingual talents of the choir: mostly Black Country, sometimes English, even Welsh, Afrikaans and Maori - we got Hine - fan-tas-tic, so the reaction of the ladies behind me and I think I can conclude all members of the auditorium.

which caused a few acoustic signs of 'jealousy' in the ranks of the choir, just kidding.

As already mentioned Michael Collie presented her with a bouquet of flowers.
