Bitte sehr! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifModerator's note: I looked up the translation, so I know "Bitte sehr" means "You're welcome" in German. Please remember all posts must be made in English or ProBoards might close down the forum. Richard Surely one word is allowed, Richard?

Surely one word is allowed, Richard? Hello Jeff! I was perfectly happy with your one word because I knew what it meant. Unfortunately Thomas used two words that I didn't recognise, so I posted the reminder to be on the safe side. Richard

...... will be back to normal on Saturday. Hi All, That was 'wishful thinking' ....our family left at 3.00 pm on Friday and our Central Heating packed up at 5.00 pm. We have small electric heaters for the main rooms but the spare bedroom with the computer in is not one of them ! It is the first time I have made a post with a woolly hat, mittens, and a fleece on etc ! Not the best way to start the year ! Graham

Your domestic heating problems have my sympathy Graham. This year I did not get round to doing my annual check in the summer, so skipped it! However, last year, routine maintenance was carried out and it still broke down during the winter, but the fact I had had the maintenance done possibly helped in the priority I received in getting an engineer in! It was the thermocoupler which is something that simply goes when it is going to go and that is it! It is an item that isn't checkable. Fortunately I am a belt and braces man so my electric back-up is de longhi, oil-filled thermostatically alterable timer controllable radiators on wheels! Ironically I have just moved over to braces for my tailoring as my shape no longer makes belts comfortably effective and managed to dispense with the belt! Peter S

Love the juxtaposition of thought but you (conveniently?) left out this quote in another thread Thank you for that quick link Grant, you saved me searching, details for which I will reveal in another post to maintain topic! Peter S. and also... I will discuss this in the River of Dreams thread which was intended to be my next post until I came across the debate here, when rifling through latest posts.
