Hi Steve & Dave
I can only add my thanks for this video - it is sublime. I totally agree with Martin in that this is fulfilling the potential Hayley promised with Let Me Lie, Summer Rain and her collaborations on HSJS. The upcoming Christmas album is obviously going to be stunning but with songs like this the new studio album could be really special.
Thanks once again for sharing.
Kind regards
Colin

Talk to me, tell me everything thats in your heart And I won't question
Tell me your name How was your day? Ooh broken heart, what can i say ? ...................... ......................
Come to me, lets see, Every little cut & bruise And I won't question
Come to me, lets see How it really feels to be And I won't question
Tell me your name, How was your day? Ooh broken heart, what can I say? Tell me your name, How was your day?
Ooh broken heart... what can I say?
Come to me lets see, How it really feels to be....

Thank you Steve and Dave!
What a great song! If Hayley's next album is composed of songs like this, it will be a huge hit- or at least it deserves to be. And, if it is all new songs, then it will likely do better in the US than the first three.

Very nice! The high notes were absolutely perfect! More pure than ever, if that's possible. I wasn't quite sure what she was saying at those parts, but they were the prettiest! I love Hayley's high notes, so no Hayley song is complete for me without at least a few. Thanks Graeme for your interpretation.
I agree, NL, I think that if the majority of the songs on her next album are like this, the "classical" title will fade a bit, and people might be more attracted to her as an artist. I hope you're right, anyway!

Hi Graeme Thank you so much for the MP3! Now the whole of Derbyshire will be able to hear it as I drive round with it playing incessantly!! Incidentally, I think the line "How it really feels ...... " ends "today" not "to be" What do others think? Also, I thought at first this song was a conversation between people in love but reading the words, most of it could be a mother talking to a child but then the line "tell me your name" doesn't really fit. Love it anyway!! Best wishes Grant

Hi Steve and Dave Many thanks for this video of "Talk To Me". Hayley gives a superb, sultry performance and can only enhance her growing reputation as a songwriter.
In a way this performance is reminiscent of Beverley Craven back in the nineties. For those who are not familiar with Beverley then I recommend you watch the video of her singing "Promise Me" on YouTube.

Wow,
Many thanks for all the contributions within the last days - to Thomas for his report, and in particular to Dave and Steve for the video.
I've heard the song live four times and it's definitely one of my favourites now. The video is very welcome whilst I'm hoping for a recording for the new CD.
Thanks also to Graeme for the mp3.
All the best, Karsten

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif What an excellent video. Hayley is becoming a competent piano player. I love the viewing angle of the video so that you could see Hayley's hands playing the piano. The song is beautiful and I hope it is on her next international album.

Thanks for the lyrics, Graeme! I think the ninth line of the song is actually "Who broke your heart?", and again each time Hayley repeats the line. Best Wishes, Richard

Wow! this song is brilliant - I am in the process of working it out! This piece sounds like it is in the key of D major, but starts on the dominant chord - A major For those wondering why it might not be in the key of A major, there is no G#..... I think thats right anyway.... Cheers Ben

Update - chords are worked out (as to my knowledge!) on the 'Play Along to Hayley's Music on the Guitar' thread
Credit to Graeme for the lyrics!
Cheers
