Star singer postpones her tour

Fans of Hayley Westenra will have to wait until next year before they see her perform at the Spa Centre.

The multi-million selling artist has postponed her national River of Dreams tour, during which she was going to appear in Leamington on Friday, due to a long-term chest infection.

But ticket holders for the sell-out show can attend a rescheduled performance on May 29.

Marketing manager Sarah Pain said: “We will happily refund anybody who is unable to make the new show date.

“But we expect most people to still come along as it is quite a lot of time for them to make plans and there has been a lot of interest as the show is a sell-out.”

A message on the singer’s website says: “Hayley regrets having to reschedule dates on a tour for the very first time but both Hayley and Bedlam Management would like to thank you for your support and understanding.”

I got a letter from the box office today.

Hope to attend the concerts both in Glasgow and Leamington.

At least I've booked my accommodation and a flight to Edinburgh. Due to the bank holiday weekend the cheap flights become rare by now.

I've received the same letter today telling me what I already know.

I have just booked for this concert seats G13-14.

For anyone interested Travelodge are offering rooms at £19 per night on the night of 29th May in Leamington.

I am unable to attend any of the February or March concerts so I was pleased to see this one was later.
