Hi everyone,
The year end is amost upon us so I thought I'd mention some records that were broken this year on our Youtube channel hwivid. These are:
The most ever daily views Worldwide on hwivid:
19,731 on 24 October (Rugby World Cup Final). 4,566 was the previous daily record before this year, on 24 Dec 2010 (Christmas)
The three highest individual Country views in a day on hwivid:
6,885 24/Oct/2011 NZ (Rugby World Cup Final) 2,568 23/Oct/2011 UK (Rugby World Cup Final) 2,282 24/Dec/2011 US (Christmas)
1,707 was the previous daily record before this year, Taiwan on 23/July/2009 (World Games Concert).
Highest number of views in a day for one video on hwivid:
9,493 24/Oct/2011 Worldwide (God Defend NZ, Rugby World Cup Final) 4,913 24/Oct/2011 NZ only (God Defend NZ, Rugby World Cup Final)
I think that considering its population, the New Zealand figures above are astonishing. Another International high profile event like the Rugby World Cup would definitely be good for Hayley in 2012!
Cheers, Dave

Won't they choose singers who are actually from England, though. Hey, maybe God Save the Queen, though! But still, since the opening ceremonies will be all about England/Great Britain, then it seems more likely they would choose someone who is actually from England. But you never know.

I shouln't rule it out Libby. They will want to be seen as international. And the Commonwealth seems to be the new flavour of the month, rather than the EU which is bankrupt!

Hi everyone, I've just noticed that the best ever performance of the NZ National anthem (by Hayley at the Rugby World Cup Final!) has now reached 101,394 youtube views in exactly (and only) three months. After the initial surge, there has been no slackening off in the number of views this wonderful performance has been getting and it's currently getting nearly a thousand views a day, from all over the World. It's also top result on Youtube if you search for God Defend New Zealand or New Zealand National Anthem (apart from any 'featured videos') so that's quite an achievement for Hayley, Let's face it, she put everything she had into that one, and it shows! I just shared it on the Celtic Woman forum the other day. I only visit there once in a while, and I did just to post the London Olympics poll thing. I noticed they missed out on a lot of Hayley happenings! So, I posted the Rugby World cup videos (including World in Union). The thread has 18 views now, so count me responsible for possibly 18 of the views! I also posted about Hayley's NZ tour, with a link to Jillian's youtube channel so they could see all the videos. I will do the the Taiwan tour videos next. They sure miss out on a lot! I guess I'll have to post there more often. They could visit the forums, and I mentioned that, too, but I doubt many of them will. I would hate for them to miss out on Hayley stuff just because they neglect to visit the forums.

Thanks Libby for the above, spreading the word! God Defend NZ continues to do well, it's up to 151,000 views now and is still getting about 1,000 views a day. But it's now been overtaken in daily views by: Amazing Grace (a cappella) at the Christchurch Memorial ServiceThis is really surprising because for its first six months it was getting about 1,000 views a month but now, it's getting around 1,500 views a day. Take a look at the Youtube monthly viewing figures chart (I have added a projection for March, in red), this is really odd! There seems to be an ever-increasing trend after a very slow start - something's happening out there, but I know not what! Cheers, Dave

Thankfully, the CW people at least saw that video without my help. But I've decided not to worry too much about what they miss. If they're really that into Hayley, all they have to do is look her up and go the forums like I suggested! But they don't seem to go beyond the forum, or perhaps her twitter page. Oh well, that's their problem. They don't even respond to my posts.

Hi everyone, I'm afraid that two more of our videos of Hayley singing Paradiso songs have now been blocked Worldwide by Youtube due to automatic Content Identification claims by music bodies, so they can no longer be seen there and I will have to delete them. These were done automatically and we have not received specific copyright "take-down" notices, which would be worse. Quite a lot of songs have now had automatic blocks by Youtube, often in Germany only, but some Worldwide and the latter have had to be deleted. One of them weirdly is blocked in a huge list of 51 Countries but is still available in an even huger list of 196 Countries, I didn't know there were that many countries in the World! But they are all available on our website, so I have also uploaded the two latest victims as follows (they were previously embedded from YT): Metti Una Sera A Cena on ITV1's LorraineLa Califfa on Wedi 7 (S4C Welsh TV)If anyone misses them on Youtube, click the link above. I can thoroughly recommend Metti Una Sera... as the recording and video are of the highest technicaol quality as is Hayley's performance, and I have uploaded an HD version (720p) too, for the first time. Cheers, Dave

Hi Dave,
I have yet to suffer from anything like that myself on YouTube, but it might be only a matter of time. I seem to get a copyright warning notice every time I upload a new Hayley video these days.
The moral is, if you see something you like, download it stright away. You never know how long it will be there.
Mind you Dave, you catch me out sometimes by uploading a better quality recording after I have downloaded the first one you uploaded. But I love the hight quality ones even if the files are bigger. Disc space is cheap these days...

I've noticed that nearly ALL full song "videos" of Paradiso are gone. I mean the ones from her album, not concerts. Yet songs from all her other albums are still allowed.

Hi Dave,
Indeed it will. My own channel gets about 10% of what HWI does, and my most popular video is Ave Maria (Caccini) from the Beaumanor Hall concert with almost a quarter of a million views. That is about half of the total, nearing half a million!! I still don't understand why that one was picked out from my 27 videos. Is it being promoted more by YouTube, I don't know.

Hi Martin, I think it might be when I've watched Hayley videos on youtube I've noticed that video is almost always near the top of the suggested videos on the right of the video I hope you don't mind but I've posted links to those videos on my google+ page recently, trying to convince my friends to have a listen! best wishes Sing
