Hello Comet I wonder what musicians are lined up ? Talking to Tim after the Llandudno concert, it seems he will be on piano and there will be one other violin - just like the old days with Fiona and Ian, although I assume the violinist will be one of Raven. Interestingly, as of Wednesday night, no one had any idea what was required of Hayley; how many songs she is to sing and who with. No doubt all will be revealed on Saturday! Best wishes Grant

Hi Joyce,
Nice to know I am not the only one currently out of commission. End of May is about when we expect Sue to be fully recovered. But meanwhile, we are both missing some fabulous concerts. Best wishes to everyone going tonight.

Hi Folks
Got home late last night from Bangor. Hayley was on top form again. It's great to see her looking and performing so well after her illness.
Bangor Ladies choir started with six songs including Danny Boy. Then Hayley came onstage to a great reception, and sang four (possibly five). Hayley was accompanied by Tim Evans on piano and Kirsty Mangan from Raven, on violin. The choir were then back again for five more songs.
In the second half, the choir started with four more (including You Raise Me Up and Over The Rainbow). Then, Hayley came back and performed around 7 or 8 songs. The choir and Hayley then sang two more together, including Amazing Grace accompanied with a Piper. A final encore was Hayley on the piano singing Sonny.
I can't recall how many in total, although Paddy reckons Hayley sang fourteen in total (including two with the choir). Some of those she sang were Scarborough Fair, Never Saw Blue, Hine e Hine, Songbird, Shenandoah (of course, the doors were locked again), Both Sides Now, Pokarekare Ana, a song from her new Japanese album, as well as the others I mentioned earlier.
Hayley wore a red dress first half, and her Black and Coral dress for the second half.
There was a deserved standing ovation at the end from everyone in the hall. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Had the priviledge of meeting and chatting to Hayley afterwards, as well as Tim and Kirsty. Comet, Karsten, Paddy and Eugene were the other HWI members in attendance (I hope I haven't left anyone out). It was nice to meet with them again. I'm sure Karsten and others will have excellent photographs of the evening.

Hello I-H-F Many thanks for your review of last night's concert in Bangor. Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time. I wonder, was the Japanese song "Nemu No Ki"? Pleased that you got to meet with Hayley, Kirsty and Tim afterwards. I look forward to hearing more from the others in due course! Best wishes Grant

Hayley said it was a lullaby written by a Japanese Emperess, and later put to music. Nice song. Regards

Hi Irish Hayley Fan, Many thanks for your concert review, great to hear that you and everyone else there had such a good time and Hayley was on top form! I've never heard Hayley sing Amazing Grace with a Piper accompanying her before, I'm sure it would've been wonderful to listen to. Looking forward to reading more comments from the others there! Hayley signs a big one for Paddy - and then a BIGGER ONEThankfully the signing was indoors and not rushed. Unlike the recent freezing outdoor signings
