So, does anyone on this board plan on dressing up or have kids/grandkids/whatever going out? It's a Friday night, so homework can wait. Just remember, call a cab if you go heavy on the BOOS. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAnd I'm sure Hayley would say not to send the kids out without their orange boxes.

Hi fusilier, My workplace is not having a costume contest this year There are plenty of scary movies on TV this week...plus lots of "Most Haunted" and "Paranormal State" specials too. Best wishes, Joe PS. The orange boxes refer to UNICEF USA's Trick-or-Treat Campaign.

Hi there I was planning on going trick or treating as Kissin' "Caite" Barlow this Friday, but my plans have changed. I'm not sure what is going on, but I know we aren't going trick or treating anymore. I know a couple of my friends are going, and I know my sister is going still. I hope I can go trick or treating next year!! <3 Caitlin

I wonder has anybody been to the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios (LA or FL) because that is not for Kids and much more fun & Scary

At work, it was decided that we shall have a costume contest after all. I'll have to put something together quickly. It could be a white Halloween as we are expecting six inches of snow Tuesday into Wednesday! Dean, one of my brother's co-workers just came back from Halloween Horror Nights at Orlando. She said it was jam packed.

I think I will get a loud silk tie and pocket square and sunglasses, don the appropriate hat, and threaten to make my co-workers "offers they can't refuse."

Hello folks! Hayley will be talking to Mark Forrest on the Classic FM Magazine Show this Friday, 31st October, between 11pm and midnight. I wouldn't be surprised to see a pumpkin parked in Leicester Square! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifOops, I'm getting Halloween mixed up with Cinderella! Richard

Hello Jeff and anybody else who I've confused! I've now spotted and corrected my little mistake. Hayley will be featured in the Classic FM Magazine Show on Friday evening, and I started a thread about it HERE. Richard

Last year we had some big teenagers in scary costumes ring the doorbell and it was kinda sad. It may all depend on where you're from. I know my neighborhood didn't mind if we went trick or treating in high school. Often though we were required to do a trick before we could get a treat. Sometimes it even involved staying around a bonfire and telling a ghost story before we could move on. At college now we are actually going trick or treating in the dorm on Thursday night. And we have the professor's children coming to trick or treat on Friday night. It's all in good fun. <3 Caitlin

These days I wouldn't send young kids out without either a teen or adult escort, and if that interferes with older sister or brother's plans, too bad. It isn't the world of 28 years ago when my friends and I (10) went out on a Saturday in the morning and worked the whole town, the next town over, and on into the town beyond that, stopping only because our treat bags were so full of candy and money they wouldn't close and we were spilling stuff. BTW, by then we had discarded the then-light-blue UNICEF boxes, since at 10 we had learned you could actually buy things with money, like the latest Star Wars figure (1980 was the release year for Empire Strikes Back). I think I collected enough change for 3 such figures, though I couldn't tell you where they are now.
