If anyone can tell me why I bought two copies, I should be most intereted to know! Roger Elementary, dear Watson Roger - you bought one copy to be signed in Barrow and one in Newcastle. So, you will have to go out now and buy another for Southend. Martin

I can remember doing a very similar thing when I bought a number of copies of 'Pure' for Hayley to sign in different places back in 2004! Andrew

Hi everyone and thanks for all the info, we seem to have it all now (if Woolworths High street stores have the same chart as online). I confirmed the no. 30 at Asda, where it was not very prominently positioned (though I did "improve" it somewhat! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif ) In the large Tesco Extra it is no. 13 and in addition, on the top shelf as one of 5 "Albums of the Week". Excellent and the best so far, I think. In the Sainsburys planet-sized Superstore a few miles up the road, it is in the no. 20 slot and in addition, it is on the top shelf with a handful of other "Recommended" albums. Not bad. So with Woolworths at no. 25 (if the stores match the online) and HMV at no. 14 (if England branches match the Scottish branches) , it seems that the largest sellers of classical crossover albums think on average that RoD will chart at around no. 20. I'll get the first official indication if they are right or wrong, tomorrow afternoon and i'll be able to make an interesting comparison with the much bigger seller, Katie Melua, who started out in the UK soon after Hayley and who also has her Greatest Hits album out today (bundled with a free Live Concert DVD). Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave Hi everyone, R o D has charted in the early midweeks (Monday sales only) at no. 24. By the end of the week, it will probably have climbed a few places (new crossover releases usually do) so the CD retailers on average guessed fairly well. Katie Melua's Greatest Hits has initially entered the midweeks at no. 18. That's quite shocking, because of the free DVD and because she has sold far more albums than Hayley in the UK, her previous album sold 410,000, five times more than Hayley's. Her debut album in late 2003 sold twice as much as Pure (Katie went 5x platinum), and was top of the pop chart for over a month in early 2004. But the difference in sales between Hayley at no. 24 and Katie at no. 18 is not going to be much at all, probably 30% or less. So on that measure, it's well done so far for Hayley and Decca. Cheeers, Dave

Hi Dave, I heard a few days ago that Katie Melua was being released today... well, not her personally but you know what I mean! I fully expected her sales to be spectacular, especially with the inclusion of the DVD (actually she has done that before with the re-release of her debut album). So yes, well done Hayley and Decca! I bought 2 copies from different places this week. I gave one away to a colleague who loves good music.... not only that but I have banned my wife, myself and any other person I could from buying other music this week, to get Hayley moved up the charts. LOL.

Nice one John, that's the way to do it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifMeanwhile, back in the midweek chart, R o D has climbed a couple of places to no. 22 as of today and i hope tomorrow morning's appearance on This Morning on ITV and the tour resumption will give it another little boost - but we won't find out until Sunday's chart is published. I so want it to get into the top 20! Decca will probably want that too, so watch out for some TV advertising on Friday. Katie Melua's album is still at no. 18, only four places ahead of Hayley! Dave
