Hello everybody! I'll quote Drew's post from the AAI Forum, because it might interest some of our members. I'll almost certainly go to this. The Spice of Life is a pub next to the Palace Theatre at Cambridge Circus, which is the junction of Charing Cross Road and Shaftesbury Avenue. It's midway between Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road Underground Stations. Edit: Beat Kaestli has some clips on MySpace HERE. Richard

Hello everybody! I'm not the world's biggest jazz fan, but I had a great time at the Spice of Life last night. I wasn't too impressed by Beat Kaestli, who performed the first set, but Daisy was sensational in her 45 minute set. I didn't note the song titles, but she opened the set with a delightful number from her album 'Simply Jazz'. She sang with a good mix of different styles, and her voice was velvety and quite bluesy throughout. She was accompanied by the David Patrick trio, comprising piano, double bass and drums. David also played the piano on Daisy's album, so there was a good rapport between them. There was a short third set featuring a few other singers, then Daisy returned to close the evening with a fabulous rendition of 'Girl Talk', joined by one of her friends from the Purcell School on flugel horn. Daisy really is an amazing singer in her own right, so I'll be watching her MySpace for any future gigs in the London area. www.myspace.com/daisychutemusic Richard
