Hello everybody! Debbie Wiseman will be talking about 'Different Voices' on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, between 10:00 and 11:00 this morning. www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womanshour/01/2008_40_mon.shtmlI corrected the release date. Somebody must have been looking at last year's calendar! Richard

Thanks for the information Richard, I will catch up with it on the BBC iPlayer later today. The publicity seems to be working already, it's shot up the Amazon.uk main music rankings and is currently no. 171, which would place it well inside their Classical top 10 if Amazon ever bother to get their act together. Currently, neither this nor the top 2 classical albums in the official chart are classified as classical by Amazon. Cheers, Dave

Hello Dave and everybody! Debbie Wiseman's ten-minute interview was the first item on today's Woman's Hour, and it included a substantial clip of Hayley's song. There is a plan to make an animated film of 'Different Voices', so there could be a DVD eventually. The interview is now available on the BBC's iPlayer: www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womanshour/01/2008_40_mon.shtmlRichard

Hello Richard Thanks for the link to the interview. Interestingly, the "Listen to this item" link with the article won't work for me (it tries to use Real Player ) but the "Listen to the programme" link does work. I enjoyed the interview and particularly Hayley's song at the end. HMV have already advised me that my order for this CD has been shipped, so it should arrive any day now. Now I'm looking forward to the DVD. Best wishes Grant

For anyone who has trouble listening to the clip on the BBC website, I've uploaded it here: Womans Hour - Debbie Wiseman Interview (10 minutes, 64 kbps, 5MB Windows Media Audio). This definitely sounds like a CD to buy and hopefully, a DVD too, eventually! Cheers, Dave

Thank you, Graham, for bringing back all the nice memories. It's great that a "Different Voices" CD is released now. I like the idea of a DVD very much because of all the wonderful sketches that were displayed on screen. Those sketches belong to the story so it would be perfect to include them on DVD together with the music. Thomas

Hi Graham, Had you heard Benjamin Britten's, "The Young Peoples Guide To The Orchestra"? I first heard it at the University some fifty years ago. It's very good. Also Saint-Saens, 'Carnival of the Animals" was a great intro to the orchestra. Although I'm not sure it was written for that purpose. Be Well Larry Hi Larry, long before CD's I heard it at school on an old vinyl LP Looking forward to the new version arriving, the email confirming it is on the way was sent today ! Graham.

One thing I'm always checking is whether the browser lets the application play. That is does the website allow cookies to pass into my PC. Go to tools...options...privacy....exceptions. Then type in the web address in question, press OK & BINGO. It'll work (usually) Graeme

Hello everyone My copy of this CD arrived this morning and I have just played it. I wasn't sure whether or not it would work for me, despite the fact that I really enjoyed the live performance. Anyway, I needn't have worried - it is superb!! It brought back great memories of a brilliant day and works very well with Stephen Fry telling the story in between the orchestra and Hayley's gorgeous vocals. There is a little bit more information on the reverse of the booklet than is shown on the back of the CD. "Recorded by Floating Earth at Cadogan Hall on 9th April 2007. CD mastered by Mike Brown at Original Sound"Stephen Fry's opening narration refers to 'the concert' and much of the enthusiastic applause is left in at the end. Can't wait for the DVD now!! Best wishes Grant

I order this CD on Sunday the 28th from Amazon.uk. Today I received an e-mail saying that the delivery date has been delayed. "Estimated arrival date: 13/10/08 - 18/10/08" Is this a sign that it is selling well, or stock problems? Well, is better order now the "River of Dreams - The Very Best of".

Hello everyone, I've just noticed that Different Voices is currently available to UK residents from the HMV website for the amazing price of £3.99 including postage. If they'd charged any less, they would be giving it away! So I've ordered it. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave
