I have just booked a ticket for an event at the Royal Albert Hall next Thursday for £5 (plus £3.50 booking fee!) featuring Alfie Boe (tenor), Kate Royal (lyric soprano), Emma Johnson (clarinet) and Alison Balsom (trumpet). Tickets which are eligible for this amazing discount appear to be only in the rear circle but, for an event such as this, there is nothing wrong with that. Details are as follows:

Classic FM welcomes the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, and their sensational conductor Vasily Petrenko, back for another star-studded Classic FM Live.

We are very excited to have Emma Johnson joining us to perform Mozart’s stunning Clarinet Concerto. Her recording of the concerto is number 6 in the Classic FM Hall of Fame 2008.

There will be performances from Alison Balsom, Alfie Boe and Kate Royal. The concert will be hosted by Classic FM’s Breakfast Show presenter, Simon Bates, who will lead you through an evening of classical greats.
