I'd love to see Hayley live as i never have and this ticket would've been the perfect opportunity, but i just wouldn't dare travel that late on a train alone :-(

Hi Dean, I'm not sure there will be enough room for anyone to share a seat with a B-17... All is not lost. You could hang your jacket on one of its propellers and then climb up into the cockpit to take some aerial photographs of Hayley on stage... Perhaps you could even invite some members of 'HWI' to join you for a glass of wine and a slice of chocolate gâteaux in your "Flying Fortress" during the interval? Think about it anyway... "Chocks away!!!" i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifAndrew

Hi All,
I just received a phonecall from the Bridgewater Hall... Tonight's Concert has been cancelled, since Hayley isn't feeling well enough to perform.
Hang onto your tickets until we hear if/ when the Concert is to be rescheduled.
Get well soon Hayley xxx

Despite the early report from Dean, I have just had a phone call from Grant who is now at the venue. Although Hayley seemed well when she arrived, it was later learned that she struggled during the soundcheck and tonight's concert has now been cancelled. Sorry, that is all I know for now.

Well, you managed to get your bit at least, Dean!
Very disappointing as it was so late so many will have been in transit and won't know until they get there. Hell of a decision to make. She will be very upset. What I find worrying is that when I saw her at Derngate she said she was on antibiotics. I mentioned this to Richard as he and I kept one another company on the train down and he asked what good were they when a cold is a virus? The observation made me think she had perhaps a chest or lung bacterium. May be they didn't do a specimen test and simply gave her a broadband antibiotic and its range didn't cover the specific problem she had. A lesson for the future (and I would have expected them to do it automatically in her case any way) is that you give a broad band antibacterial while taking swabs to send away for checking the actual problem. This means something is happening in the interim until you can really hit it with what is most appropriate. One fears time has been lost and the condition has either returned not having been eradicated or it has resisted initial efforts.
Any how, it isn't helpful for us to speculate, what is important, as most tickets will have been sold ahead anyway, is that some clear statement is made from her management especially in the light of the Varety Club award. As I'm in the Holiday Inn for Cardiff, do I cancel now so I can save that fee, or risk she will make it? The train I can't cancel. Others are also travelling down on the day. Perhaps we should arrange to have dinner together if we leave it to the last minute and arrive to then learn its a 'no no'. It is common sense, unless very obviously ill, and there is time for her to recover sufficiently that she does not make any decision until the last minute.

Hi All,
Bill the Lurker back home already! I know time flies when you're at a Hayley concert, but this went by in the blink of an eye!
Got to the Hall at 7, to be told Hayley 'failed the soundcheck'. Had a quick walk round to see if I could find Grant, Dean or any HWI faces. No joy.
Luckily for me, a half hour round trip. Other members probably have much further to travel. Shame for them.
Let's hope Hayley gets better soon. Her health is more important than the inconvenience for us.
This must put the shows for the rest of this week in doubt. Please check before you set off!
Regards Bill
PS: Get well soon Hayley. See you in Feb, if not before!

Roger I am so sorry for Hayley as she will be devastated after trying to make this concert right up to the last minute. I only hope that she knows that we all understand and support her during this difficult time. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Martin
