People who work for local papers should: a) Know how to research whatever they are writing about beforehand, b) If they are going to send Photographer(s) to an event, make sure they know how to take photographs & how to operate the however many hundreds pounds worth of camera equipment they bring with them
But other than that, please have a good time tonight and say Hi to Hayley & Raven for me But that is why they are on LOCAL papers, they are cubs still learning their TRADE. Peter S.

Hi all, I'm just back from my journey to Lichfield and Liverpool, having now two new 'life favourites': Wuthering Heights and Hine... Just before the next pictures from Northampton will arrive, here my first contribution: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, stage door, 10:40 p.m. - just before another straining day...Hayley patient as always (ISO 6400, aperture 4.5 and 1/15 sec) Cheers, Karsten

Just when I thought a Hayley concert couldn't get any better - it did!
Excellent concert, not sure how many songs in total Hayley sang. A few songs I hadn't heard her sing live before, such as Wuthering Heights and The Mummer's Dance were included. Danny Boy almost had me in tears, it was beautiful.
The Raven girls were also brilliant. Their timing and control of their instruments was superb. Overall, the piano, guitar, cello and violins really complimented Hayley's voice.
Nice to meet up with a few HWI members as well, some who I met before, others I hadn't. Hayley was her usual self, posing for photos and signing programs at the stage door afterwards, even though she was suffering from a cold or infection.

Hi Karsten...
Great photo! Many thanks for sharing. I look forward to more here and on the Lichfield thread.
Hi Irish-Hayley-Fan...
Thanks for your report! I'm so glad you enjoyed Hayley and the Raven Quartet's performances. Too bad Hayley still isn't feeling the best!
Thank you, Joe

Hi ,I'm back.......already yesterdayevening, but went direct into my bed, because i had an early appointement today with my hairdresser. Travelling five days in the UK, was great, of course to see Hayley for the 10th time in Liverpool. The concert was wonderfull, in fact the same as in Lichfield, but some differences.........the songlist had 16 songs......May it be, was not in. Al Gurr, made his funny jazzy piano improvisation, i remember he did in Buxton something similar. The Raven girls were great. It was good to see lots of HWI members, and after the concert we went to the stage door. Finally we met Hayley and i think she was there about 15 minutes, before they were leaving with the tourbus. Thanks to all for a fantastic evening!!! The day after, started with a little surprise.................................... bringing Paddy to the Lime Street railwaystation, where he had to catch his train to Northampton, we met Hayley again!!!! She was cueing with her tourmanager, to catch a train to London!! If i'm well informed, she made a 3 hour travel to appear in a BBC television/or radio show.......and after the show back to Northampton........................... Hayley after the concert in Liverpool. Greetz JOYCE

Hi all! Thank you so much for another great concert coverage. You seem to have a lot of fun. Well, I'm jealous. Not so long now for Leamington and Swansea. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifKarsten, I like your photo in post #31. Beautiful picture of Hayley! Joyce, it's nice that you saw Hayley again at the train station. I hope she didn't feel pursued. Thomas

After 'finishing' Lichfield here we are with a few pictures from Liverpool, firstly the venue itself and secondly another pre-concert photo: members from the Netherlands, the Isle of Wright and Ireland
