Hayley in Washington DC for PBS' A Capitol Fourth 2008

Hello All,

In my local newspaper, The Palm Beach Post, today, Sunday June 29th, in the TV guide for the week, there is an article: "A Capital Fourth......classical music superstar Hayley Westenra...." , (and listings of all the performers and what to expect).

I didn't think of it but if I get a chance I need to get to the store and see if anything is in the national TV Guide about it...I am sure there is a write up about it.

On my local PBS station it will be shown at 8 p.m.live, then rebroadcast at 9:30 p.m.

Right after the show I am going to email my local PBS station to let them know how much I enjoyed the show and appreciated that they aired it on TV.

And I am going to ask them that I would like to see more of Hayley Westenra on PBS.

I URGE ALL AMERICAN FANS TO DO THE SAME...

PBS shows what the public is interested in.
(and just maybe it will happen, and we will get a new DVD from doing this )

There are going to me millions of Americans who are going to be hearing Hayley for the first time.

I am excited!!!

Do you think Hayley will do a duet with Jerry Lee Lewis???

Hi Howard,

It seems a great idea to me , I wish I could send an email too, but I live in the other side of the Atlantic, in another country.
But a new DVD would be awesome!

I won't be able to watch this show as I'm out at my neighborhood party we have each year. This year all my neighbors are looking forward to hearing my adventures in London and I missed all the good (and not-so-good-for-you) American block-party food including "worms in a bucket", snicker salad, jello-salad, meat on the grill, potato salad, coleslaw etc. mmm!

Perhaps I'll remember to tape the show.

Thanks, Stephany. It's good to finally have a better idea of what Hayley will be singing. I still don't know where the idea that Vittorio what's-his-name will be there came from, because I haven't seen anything saying that he will be. I hope he's not, because I want Hayley to sing by herself, and I don't want her sing WSS.

Caitlin, you might tape it?
I wouldn't think you'd want to miss a Hayley performance in America! It's going to be the highlight of the day to me, especially since I have to work, and even though my dog will be fussing in the background because of the fireworks.
Fortunately, I'll be home before the show starts.

Yes only might because I don't know how to record a video! It will all depend on if my dad is home this weekend or not. If so, than I can tape it. So if I remember to ask my dad if he's home, and if he'll do it...and then hopefully he'll remember!

I'm going to Washington for the 4th and I'll program my DVR to record the event, HOWEVER lightening storms (common this time of year) could reset the DVR so.....I hope someone in the US will record the show.
