Suppose we'd better start this thread off. Hayley will be appearing on the Des and Mel Show on ITV1 next Wednesday, 24th September at 1 PM. If you get the chance, tune in and watch it for yourself. If you can't for any reason, you will be able to see it on Hayley Westenra International. Keith.

Two more UK TV appearances soon
Hayley may be in the US and about to appear in her Great Performances special but we can look forward to TWO TV appearances in the UK, the weekend after next:
Christmas Mania - Channel: ITV1 Date: Saturday 11th December 2004 Time: 22:00 to 23:00 (starting in 10 days) Duration: 1 hour. Donny Osmond presents some of the brightest stars from the world of music, in a celebration of Christmas with fresh interpretations of classic festive songs. With Jamie Cullum, Katie Melua, Ronan Keating and Janet Ramus, Il Divo, Westlife, Clare Teal, Roy Wood and Wizzard, and Hayley Westenra.
Songs of Praise - Channel: BBC 1 Date: Sunday 12th December 2004 Time: 16:45 to 17:25 (starting in 10 days) Duration: 40 minutes. The Big Sing For Christmas. Hayley Westenra joins Aled Jones and Pam Rhodes at the Royal Albert Hall for a musical celebration for Christmas. The Royal Choral Society, the St Michael Singers and the Songs of Praise School Choir competition winners are joined by a packed house of 5,000 for some Christmas favourites
Excerpts taken from DigiGuide. Two massive TV appearances on the UK's two biggest TV channels. It should give a huge boost to the album sales in what are by far the two biggest sales weeks of the year.
And next week, a little bird tells me, "Pure" will be one of the in-store CDs playing in the background at Sainsburys. Shop Sainsburys!

Hayley on BBC Breakfast News March 1st 2005Well, Hayley's official site has somewhat apologetically mentioned that she was interviewed recently on BBC Breakfast News. Too late for me to record it... pull your socks up Decca! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Did anyone see it or capture it? Fortunately the BBC have put up a recording of the Interview, although it's very low bandwidth. I shall attempt to capture it for posterity this evening, in case it's taken down... but capturing Real Media streaming video ain't easy, so wish me luck. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/breakfast/4307017.stm

Hi All, Well Emmett Byrne has contacted me about this - indicating he has captured it - He is intendint oget it to me, either on CD-ROM, or by FTP. At the same time, he will be sending me a capture of Katherine on Irish TV. Welcome Emmett - to the circle of international correspondents of websites for singers like Hayley and Katherine. Your input will be very valuable! I really look forward to receiving your captures Gerrit

That's great news that Emmett captured the bbc interview, good man there. I did manage to copy the low-res version from the BBC website, just in case they removed it; but glad it won't be needed, the BBC quality is awful I noticed that for the second time now, Hayley said her new album will be released "in September" this year so that's something to look forward to. She was fairly obviously referring to the UK so it may be different in other Countries. It would make sense to release it at the same time of year as "Pure" and it will be very interesting to compare the initial performances of the two albums!

Hello again everyone! I didn't know anything about Hayley's interview on BBC Breakfast News, so I missed it. I think Decca should do porridge for not telling us! I've just tried to watch the video via the link from Hayley's official web site, but without success. I'm hoping I will be able to watch it on this site soon, then I will cheer up! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI've just realised, I'm now neck-and-neck with Roger, but I didn't do it deliberately, honestly Roger! See you at Olympia on 20th March, Richard

Hello Gerrit and Emmett! I've just watched the video of Hayley's interview on BBC Breakfast News, and I would like to propose a toast (with or without marmalade!) to both of you! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt's another excellent clip, and it's nice to hear that Hayley is looking forward to Olympia, just like me! Actually I've got something else in common with Hayley. I was on "Songs of Praise" way back in 1992, but I was only a member of the congregation. Anyway, you've got Decca out of trouble, so I'll forgive them, until next time! Bye for now, Richard
