Hello all. I'm new to the forum bur happy to be here.
I love Hayley's voice and music.
I only found out about the forum when Googling my daughter's name and saw someone on this site had written a post about her .
(My daughter is Siobhan Owen, the 14 year old Celtic singer from Australia - http://www.siobhanowen.com).
I am an Irish Liverpudlian, married to a Welsh man and our 3 children were born in Wales. We came to Australia when Siobhan (the youngest) was two.

Some of us were discussing female vocalists the other night on Belinda's Chat Room at HayleyWestenraWorldwide when one of the members suggested we give Siobhan a listen as a potentially brilliant vocalist.....

Welcome to the forum. I'm so pleased that you discovered Hayley and love her music - you are certainly amongst friends here.
I have to confess that I hadn't heard of your daughter, Siobhan, until now. I have just had a look at her website and have listened to a couple of song clips - she has a lovely voice - pure and clear. I loved her performance of 'Danny Boy'. I wish her every success for the future.
I very much hope that you will enjoy your time here and I look forward to your future posts.

Hi Sheila, Welcome to the forum from me too. I also live in Australia but that could mean anything from next door to us to 5000 kms from here. (here = South end of Lake Illawarra NSW) Its quite a rarity here to bump into a Hayley fan....thats my experience anyhow so its a pleasure to meet you. Graeme  PS Just listened to the Welsh Anthem & Skye boat song from your daughter. Her voice is absolutely beautiful. I note you live in Adelaide....about 1200 Kms from here. |

Thank you all so much for your kind welcome and lovely comments about Siobhan.
I will certainly keep you informed about her performances. I am hoping to video her singing Ave Maria on Sunday. I don't know how it will turn out because there will be around 7000 people there (although most of them will be processing from the other end of the Parkland with Siobhan's voice coming over loudspeakers). We will try to get close to the stage!

I just saw this thread! Welcome Sheila! On the Hayley Westenra Worldwide chat I mentioned Siobhan, and she was talked about for a little, so she was introduced to HWI then I suppose you could say. Anyway, welcome, and I can't wait to read your future posts Sheila!
