Hello everyone, Hayley's duet single with Minako Honda has entered the official Japanese International Singles chart (Oricon) at No. 1It is no. 100 in the main Japanese singles chart - this is a very good result in week one (the single was released on a Wednesday) and it sold 930 copies. It is Hayley's third Japan International Chart no. 1 single so: Congratulations Hayley! Many thanks to Mario/UKMIX for his invaluable (as always) information on the Japanese charts! Dave

Hi everyone Hello everyone, Hayley's duet single with Minako Honda has entered the official Japanese International Singles chart (Oricon) at No. 1Dave Admittedly I said this in the album thread at the beginning of April, but come on: Hi Grant and Roger Likewise, I've pre-ordered both now. Perhaps at this rate it will go straight to No 1 in Japan when it's released on the strength of export sales alone Regards Colin And my lottery numbers for Saturday are: 1, 7, 18, 28, 32, 38 :2fun: Congratulations, Hayley!Kind regards Colin

Hi Dave, Thanks for the news -- this is incredible. I understand better why Hayley now wants to tour in Japan on a more regular basis. Her fanbase over there is very loyal and they are exceptionnally priviledged with albums released exclusively on their territory. We need to move to Japan! Stephany

Congratulations Hayley, that is a wonderful achievement.
It seems she is really on fire over there at the moment. Long may it continue.
Yet I don't recall seeing any posts from Japanese HWI members. If I have missed someone, or not realised where you are from, apologies. Do we have any members there? Will they be posting reports on her forthcoming concerts? Like many here, I love reading the concert reports.i (Sorry mods, this paragraph is OT).

Hi Martin,
I think we do have Japanese members here; and I vaguely remember we seem to have a Japanese HWI correspondent as well (do we?). But you're right, they don't usually post here, just like our fellow Chinese members.

Hi Martin and Tin,
We currently have three Japanese members. One has never posted and another has not logged in for several months. I am therefore hoping that Akito will attend some of the forthcoming concerts and provide us with a report or two. HWI never had a named Japanese correspondent but anyone providing material for the main site would automatically be considered as such.
Dave, that is excellent news for Hayley and Minako, and very well times for the tour which, hopefully, will increase the demand even further.
Roger

Hi Dori, Thank you for the link. Cherry posted it on the 'Promo in Japan' thread so we started a discussion about it there. Click HERE to see it. Stephany

Hello everyone With this duet also being on the new Japanese album, this thread has gone very quiet. Indeed, I only got around to playing my copy of this 'single' this afternoon. Obviously, very little else can be said about the beautiful duet with Minako that hasn't already been said on the main album thread but, looking through this thread, I found Stephany's post from before we knew how it was to be done. I suppose that Hayley did a new recording for her part. We shall see. They could use the old recording from "Pure" but I doubt they're going to do that. I don't think anyone has commented that there are three tracks on this CD and, as well as the duet, there is the 2003 recording used on "Pure" (so you were sort of right Stephany!). There is also a, so called, instrumental version which features Metro Voices and the Royal Phiharmonic Orchestra. I rather like this version also, although I don't recall having heard it before. Best wishes Grant
