As we all know, Hayley does as much as she can to please her fans but how many of you can claim that she paid your credit card bill? I can! Well, sort of... As Hayley's 21st birthday approached, a few of our overseas members sent cards and presents to me to take to her in Croydon on 29th March. When I left home, they were all in a small plastic bag. Earlier that day, I had received my credit card statement. The easiest means of paying it was by putting a cheque in the post. I wrote it, put it in its envelope and stamped it. For convenience, I put it in the same plastic bag with the intention of posting it on the way to Croydon. Yes, you're quite right, I forgot! Okay, I was Hayleywowed before I even got to the venue! After the concert, I needed to come straight home rather than wait to see Hayley so I asked Richard to give the bag to her for me. In doing so, he unknowingly gave her my cheque! I only realised what had happened the following morning. Had the payment not been made on time, I would have incurred interest charges and a late payment fee. I considered stopping the cheque and starting again but I didn't have a spare paying in slip which is supplied by the bank with the statement. I emailed Bedlam Management in the hope that they could help but received no reply. This morning, I received the next credit card statement which confirmed that last month's payment was received correctly and on time. I therefore have to assume that my message was forwarded and that Hayley posted the cheque for me! Thank you Hayley! Now I suppose I will have to post this month's cheque because Hayley isn't around to do it for me! Roger

Just a point though, I suspect Hayley would not have needed a message from Bedlam. Being the sort of person she is, I'm sure she would have realised what had happened and the significance of not posting the letter for you, and would have done it anyway. That's just the sort of person she is! Best wishes Grant

Okay, I was Hayleywowed before I even got to the venue! Hi Roger I think you were only partly Hayleywowed otherwise the letter would have been addressed to yourself. Martin

Hi Roger What a great story - you'll have to mention it to her next time you see her, I bet she will do the famous Hayley giggle i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI think you are right though Grant, I'm certain that she would have posted it along with her own letters without any prompting. Best regards Mark

That's just the sort of person she is! Hi Grant, That is a possibility. Of course, if she didn't receive the message, she would not of known to whom the envelope belonged (other than the addressee which was one of the high street banks). Because Richard handed the bag to her, she may even have assumed it was his. I can understand Hayley would be pleased to help him out in this way. Had she known it was mine, she probably wouldn't have bothered! I wonder when she posted it? Actually, Dave had a little inside information about this story which is why he has asked that question. The fact is, my account was credited on 11th April. It is therefore possible that Hayley posted it on her birthday! Roger

Hi Roger, Well you forgot to mention it! She may well have kept all the birthday stuff back until her actual birthday - some people do that (including me!) all of which makes it even more likely. She may even have opened everything without looking at the name on the front - if she did, that would have given her a bit of shock! Cheers, Dave

Because Richard handed the bag to her, she may even have assumed it was his. Ah, but Roger, I was standing quite close when Richard gave Hayley your little bag of goodies and I'm sure he made it clear that it was from you. Yes Dave, I agree she may have held on to things until her birthday, as would I, but I think I would have had a quick look to see what was in there! Best wishes Grant

Hi Roger, I am sure we will eventually find out.. However whatever the actual time sequence it certainly shows Hayley in a good light..... and who would have expected less Short of paying it herself , I can't see what more she could have done to help you !! Graham

Yes I wonder if she would do that for me, especially when she sees the debits for tickets for her concerts! But no, unfortunately my credit card company has an arrangement to direct debit my bank account for the full amount every month, so I never need to post anything to them.
Great story though Roger. She is a bright girl, for sure.

Hi Roger, Thats a pretty neat story... I seem to recall an interview a while back where she mentioned having to go pay bills and standing in line (since she is gone doing concerts)... well perhaps having to send a rather important fan's letter is good motivation Thanks for sharing a cool story... all the best, Peter T.

Hello Roger! Next time you ask me to pass a bag on to Hayley, I promise I'll check the contents before I give it to her! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThanks for the laugh, and well done Hayley! Richard
