Hello everybody, this is my first ever poll! Now that several of our members have added the 'Celtic Woman: A New Journey' DVD to their collections, and the comments are coming in, I thought it would be fun to find out which tracks are the most popular. You don't have to vote for tracks that feature Hayley, but I'm watching! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI had to think for a few minutes after I created the poll, but then I voted for 'Lascia Ch'io Pianga' because of the stunning combination of sound and vision. I picked this as the real highlight the first time I watched the DVD, but the whole show is totally brilliant! Best Wishes, Richard

This is a tough poll, Richard! My vote went anyway to "Scaborough Fair" - because as I already said, Hayley's take on it just rips my heart out. And I also love "Caledonia" and "Beyond the sea". i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I voted for 'The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun.' I think it's a really cool song and Hayley does an excellent job. I like it when she strides forward while singing the 'yah-dah-dah' part. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hey Richard Thanks for the poll! I voted for "Scarborough Fair". Watch how gracefully Hayley walks towards centre stage. Hayley clutching her hands to her heart at the end of the song is just really phenomenal ! "Spanish Lady" would be my 2nd choice. The girls are so animated and their choreography is dynamic.

This is a hard choice. I wish we could vote for two! I chose "The Last Rose of Summer" because it's something different. We don't usually hear the song as a duet and Meav's and Hayley's voices blend together very well. I also love Caledonia. I have a great story with that, which I hope to tell someday soon. <3 Caite

I voted Beyond the Sea, although I was torn between it and Newgrange. I love the 'layered' effect in both of those songs!

Hello folks! I see my first poll is going well, so please carry on voting everybody. I've just changed the thread title slightly to avoid any possible confusion with Hayley's own DVD. Best Wishes, Richard

My vote would be for "The Sky and the Dawn and the Sun". But my absolute favorite moment from the DVD was the moment at the end of "Scarborough Fair" when Hayley closes her eyes and places her hands above her heart. I loved that moment beyond words.

Score another for Scarborough Fair. This song might as well have been written for Hayley, so suited does it seem to her character. There is a fairy-tale like quality that Hayley elicits from the lyrics. She can pronounce certain words so it’s as if I’m hearing them for the very first time.
I would add that in the non-Hayley category, I love the way the group sings and interacts in Orinoco Flow. I particularly like the arrangement, and the way the pitch of the timpani drives the song along.

Hayley was clearly born to sing Scaborough Fair! I also love Beyond the Sea because the girls' voices blend perfectly. At the end of the song, when they all sing together and stand in line, you can hear that Hayley's voice is on a slightly higher tone than the others...and it's just so lovely!

I definitely agree with Caite- I especially love The last rose of summer- the harmonies are beautiful and their voices blend SO well together. I also love Spanish Lady. The whole disc is just great. A friend of mine in residence here just got the DVD, and he had never heard of Hayley before- but now he bought a copy of treasure after seeing her on the CW DVD! Hopefully, people back home (in Canada and the US) feel the same way as my friend here and they support Hayley's new CD -Elizabeth
