the moment you start thinking you are too good for others - it is PRECISELY at the very moment, that others become too good for you. Hi Steve and welcome to the forum. You make an excellent point! I have for many years worked front of house at my local theatre here in Derby and although we rarely attracted the most famous artistes, when we did, they were always polite and friendly. It was the 'just famous' that were always the most inconsiderate, yet they expected the very best of attention. Best wishes Grant

Looking back some fifty years or so I find it hard to remember the color of life.

This is rather old, but so true in so many ways: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That's strange! I see it in many other places too. Paddy

We are but a grain of sand in the universe of time, we sift our way through a narrow path sometimes leaving footprints as we go. S. Drobot

Brains over beauty! Fish over salamanders! Ok, I just came up with the last part randomly, but brains over beauty is real. ~Psychic NL Well it takes brains to make destructive things like nuclear bombs and chemical/biological weapons. Beauty, on the other hand, brings smiles to people's faces. Beauty is life affirming. I'll take beauty over brains in most situations.

Since the universe began, time has been and illusion, we can't find enough nor can we control it, so make the most of the little time we do have.

And It seems like Hayley has both (from what I have read an this forum) I do wonder how long it will be before Hayley is made a "Dame", it has a nice ring to it "Dame Hayley Westenra"? As we know Hayley has a history of breaking records i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDean

Aye, exactly Graham! I have always found these words to be inspiring: All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful: The Lord God made them all. And while I'm at it, why not post the rest of the song according to www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/a/l/allthing.htmEach little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings. Refrain The rich man in his castle, The poor man at his gate, He made them, high or lowly, And ordered their estate. Refrain The purple headed mountains, The river running by, The sunset and the morning That brightens up the sky. Refrain The cold wind in the winter, The pleasant summer sun, The ripe fruits in the garden, He made them every one. Refrain The tall trees in the greenwood, The meadows where we play, The rushes by the water, To gather every day. Refrain He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who has made all things well. Refrain ~Psychic NL
