Alright, I'll post the words to a song I wrote a couple of years ago The Song of the HillsThe great green hills sing an olden song To all who will listen with hearts open wide Mother Earth is reaching up to the skies Sharing her wonders, her breast swelled with pride An endless river runs through the woods Forever bringing new life to the land A mystical world where time has no meaning Where old trees have fallen and new ones now stand And each day brings a fresh sense of hope As the flowers awaken to a new morning's light And as the dusk sets in I can still hear a song Looking out o'er these hills The most beautiful sight There is ancient wisdom alive in these hills And the old time tales are still being told The shades of green stir forgotten memories It's clear to me now what the future will hold For even in the darkest night We are taught that the light never leaves us for long By the Heavens blessed with a thousand stars And the waters that keep on singing their song And each day brings a fresh sense of hope As the flowers awaken to a new morning's light And as the dusk sets in I can still hear a song Looking out o'er these hills The most beautiful sight Lead me again to the heart of the hills Your gentle hand is all the faith I need Human voices join the planet in song In endless embrace our hearts will be freed And each day brings a fresh sense of hope As the flowers awaken to a new morning's light And as the dusk sets in I can still hear a song Looking out o'er these hills The most beautiful sight Looking out o'er these hills I know all is right Now, how do I get Hayley to record this song? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifJeroen

Hi Oksana, kiernankate, and Jeroen:
Thanks for your contributions of poetry and song. I especially love how all three of you can tie together emotions and nature. I'll try and contribute something!

At Peace
Sitting on my window ledge I feel a gentle breeze Life is so beautiful
Birds are flying through the trees Squirrels scurry about Gathering nuts for the winter's rest
All the world is at peace Soon the earth will sleep
Dusk is falling fast Sending brilliant hues of color In the great sky above Pinks, Blues all appear So brillianty it leads my heart To fly and to soar
Soon I will give into sleep Peaceful dreams will be mine tonight Because all the world is at Peace

We've got some really talented people here at HWI !
This is the latest poem I wrote.
Circle
Life and love are pulling us in a circle. A circle of endless bounds but different distances where looking back is moving forward and looking ahead is stepping back. Time knows no space and all that's felt is energy. Energy of time, space and love. The hum of dreams propells us and the lyrics of life stir us. Slowly rocking forward and backward upon the ebb and flow We close our eyes, take a deep breath and exist in the circle of love and life where We are surrounded by the gentle swaying of energies. And the caressing arms of love follow us wherever we go among the pulling circle of love and life...

Angel of Song
A heavenly angel sang a lullaby, Alighting amongst us unnoticed ...
Gently she touched our trembling hearts: Smoothest silk caressed our souls ... Tenderly songs and hearts entwined, Weaving tentative, fleeting forevers ...
Mesmerised stars embraced the sun, As something wonderful quietly grew ... Dark, dismal, clouds of doubt dissolved, Shimmering to crystals of sparkling light ...
Perhaps the author attended her/his first Hayley Concert?

Dark December
My dark days of December I still, clearly remember Wishing, hoping & praying for a miracle
Darkness filled the rooms And darkness filled our hearts
Pain, tears & no more laughter No happy end, or ever after
In the dark end of December A little light came in one room Just for you, just for you
Nobody saw, nobody heard You left the room so quietly You did not say, one single word
And on that dark December morning Daddy woke me up, saying; Mommy’s gone my love
A Promise
I kept a promise in my heart Only for you, only for you
I kept a memory in my mind Of you, of you
I kept your picture in my room For myself, just myself
I talk within myself, at least once a day But also to you, to you dear mom
A little chill, a little breeze. Feeling fine, feeling home And certainly, not alone
I kept a promise, a promise which came true The only one who knows, is you…

I was moved and saddened by your words. You have my sympathy for your loss.
I still talk to an old friend of mine, he is gone quite a while now. I kept some simple things that had belonged to him, a paintbrush and a pencil, I still use them occassionaly and think of the fun we had working together when I use them...............
