True, she does set a good example. I think she could do better by her charities is she pre-signed programmes etc., and sold them for a slight additional charge. So, who here would be willing to pay a few $$ more over the admission charge to see Hayley afterwards and add to the collection of signed memorabilia? Who's got the tea sandwiches?

Much as I don't really care for Hayley as an artist, I must say her plans for bikes for Ghana is a very good, practical plan that completely addresses the issues of the people she is helping.

And what is more, she does it without preaching. I don't doubt most of us would be fine with her speaking out on this a little, but the Gospel does say not to trumpet almsgiving before you like a hypocrite looking for applause. Action speaks a lot louder than words.

Yep - I guess thre's a balance between pushing a cause to the extent that some people get sick of it and using opportunities wisely. I think Hayley strikes a good balance.
Portia, I am intrigued by your comment "Much as I don't really care for Hayley as an artist, " What do you mean by this?

Oh, she's openly said she isn't particularly a fan of Hayley's music.

Much as I don't really care for Hayley as an artist, ... Hi Portia, I think many of us realised that long ago. One cannot help but wonder why you ever joined this forum. (?) Roger

i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Well .............................. After watching movies like OSAMA , CITY OF GOD , LILYA FOREVER and MARIA FULL OF GRACE , I just learned the importance of BEING A GOOD PERSON . I just very simply believe that people with extra money and resources should support charitable causes simply for the sake of SUPPORTING them .
