"Hurricane" is the name of the Grace Jones album I think! Martin.

A lot of things get blown away when Hurricane Hayley is around. Including me and most other HWI members I suspect. This is true, I think this was certainly the case at Barrow in October (I'm sure most of us were Walking in the Air).... Only another 6 weeks or so and Hayley should be back with us

Hi Martin, Haha, yes you could be right. I heard she was coming back next week to tackle the left and right walls by singing 'Both Sides Now'! Roger

Hi Steve, Beautiful winterpictures!! We had the last days temperatures going down to minus 15, -20, and it is going on for more than a week. Don't know if you know, but Dutch people are going crazy when winter starts, and it is going to freeze..........they like skating! Last week there was a skatingtour in my area, and they were expecting 10-15000 people, for skating....................... it turned out that more than 50.000 people liked to skate and the tour had to be cancelled, because the situation became very dangerous.Several people where picked up by helicopters,or lost their ways in the darkness. These pictures i made last week, just before people were finding their ways to the lakes and canals. Greetz JOYCE

Hi Dutchjoyce. Delightful pictures. I take it these 'roads' are canal deep and that ice is real thick!
I posted on another occasion when we had it sufficiently cold here as to put a decent coat of ice on our local canal but I didn't have ice skates. I considered it less treacherous to walk down the middle of the canal than on the tow path which had been trodden into very unlevel ice packs. I was on my way to work, suited, city coat, fedora (style of hat) umbrella and brief case! Peter S
