Hello again everybody! Here are a couple of quotes from Il Divo's forum. The first one seems to be a case of mistaken identity! MRO wrote:- Sarah wrote:- Richard Thank you Richard. Two fascinating contrasting quotes! On the second one, and I don't mean a dig at the boys, but you notice the difference between many (not all) Il Divo audiences and Hayley's own show audiences. Full attention and due respect is paid to the support artistes both as backing to Hayley and when doing their own sessions. This raises an interesting thought and Hayley could never let it be known what her feelings are, but while she loves big audiencers (and I can understand the thrill of that for the artiste) the essential difference is that she is a lady BUT still a modern girl! The audience she attracts respond to that courtesy of hers. Another point. There is a higher level of musical appreciation in Hayley's audiences. I noticed this specifically with the Huddersfield Christmas concert. This was an audience used to music, accustomed to hearing excellent bands and choirs. They waited 'for the silence that determined the last note had finally died before bursting into spontaneous applause'. Her 'natural' audience is a reasonably sophisticated audience without being snooty with it--which usually implies an educated audience lacking pomposity, as is usually the case with educated people.. The next question then, is that Il Divo toured a diversity of countries with a diversity of audience cultures and none of them came for Hayley. Yet, clearly, she created in many cases a wondrous effect. Can we sum up from a distance what has been gained for Hayley from this tour? Can Hayley herself sum it up? Are there answers to help determine her future direction? I'm not sure I can see any clarity in terms of which way she should turn now. As for the first comment, a little whimsy. It reminds me of the classic (but purportedly true joke) of the reporter who wrote up the local repertory company's latest production but failed to mention (amongst his usual plaudits for the play's interpretation) that it never got past the first act because the theatre burned down! Hi Peter, You have raised some interesting points there which might give many of us food for thought. From what Hayley has been known to say, I think she is very pleased with the way the tour has gone but, no doubt, would have preferred the audiences to have been seated and quiet from the moment she appeared on stage. I think she would be too diplomatic to make any adverse comment in public. No matter what she secretly feels as the tour reaches its conclusion, I'm sure it has been a tremendous experience for her. She has performed in many *new* locations, has become known to many thousands of people who did not previously know her, and has certainly gained a lot of fans. Sadly, she has also had to cope with the knowledge of a certain incident in Berlin. But even that will help her awareness of a regretable but perhaps inevitable consequence of her career that she may not have previously considered. As to where she goes from here, I am confident that she and her management team will consider the events of the tour (good and bad) and steer her career forward in a way that will be most benefial to her. Unfortunately, we cannot predict with any degree of accuracy what that might be but I suspect we shall be among the first to know. Roger

Hello again everybody! Here is another mention of Hayley in Barcelona from Il Divo's forum. I'll quote the whole paragraph because it makes an interesting comment about the organisation. Sufran wrote:- Richard

Hello everybody! There is a message on the Guestbook section of Hayley's official forum this morning. Spanish fan Nuria wrote:- She also wrote:- Richard I've used the quote method as I think what is said is worth the repeat. Fortunately, I look well before starting threads otherwise I would have repeated this as a new thread. I don't know how I missed Richard's original post here, but it was being on the official board myself, where both he and Roger are as I write, that i came across Richard's original source. I think the above quotations are very reassuring about the effect Hayley continues to have and that is superb. What else i would have said would have taken me off topic, so I'll search further for an appropriate thread before starting one and developing this post from there. Peter

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the post, Its such a shame isn't it that some people have been so rude during some of the IL Divo performances.
We have discussed it at length over the past few months on the forum but it still hurts to read that it has happened yet again.
Keep up the good work.
