Hi Peter, Althought I have asked that question in the past, I didn't deem it necessary on this occasion. It is usually fairly obvious what can and cannot be made public. From you previous post, I am not aware that Ali was in Manchester. We were introduced to him at the HMV signing session although I have to admit, I didn't recognise him on Tuesday. Roger

Thank you Richard,
I spent a couple of hours on it but I could not even find the MEN Thread, and I was looking for a reply direct from Hayley!! 10 out of 10 for attrition!
Best Regards
Steve

Roger Ah, fine. okay. I just wondered if in forty minutes there might have been more meat than the usual banter and friendly exchange of family news tour feelings etc but then of course they have already come over in her own newsletters etc. Thanks. No revelable insights into what follows August. A`possible holiday with family over here or hee going home for a couple of weeks? Peter.

Hi Peter,
Hayley will be going home for two weeks at the end of July. Provided nothing changes between now and then, it should be nothing but R&R.
After that, it's back to business and she is pretty much booked up (or at least her time is earmarked) for the rest of the year. This includes the hitherto un-named West End production which was first mentioned last summer (in the Hampton Court programme).
By then, I reckon she'll need another trip home!

So, judging entirely by Dave's remark about nearly having to stamp on a toe, there is something in the air!!!! So, that's why there s no announcement on her web site for September, October, November, December? The odd date in August marks her return and then rehearsals and recording studio time and then...I've been thinking of starting a new thread, what's the menu for her third CD (I don't count the various half repeat reissues as full CDs!) Not her fault, others are doing it. Possibly of certain musical show selections and possibly a specific musical show selection which means a delay into halfway through 2007? of course! That will be an event when i really will splash out on the most expensive seat in the house. Perhaps we couild manage to share a box or two, guys? In an earlier post when we learned she had bought her flat and linking back to my observations on Huddersfield, I thought she might use her flat for family over to her and that this year she would have learned from last year's experience and realised she needed them to pop over for R&R. If this all means, despite occasional references to feeling tired occasionally, it sounds as though she really is seriously pacing herself as she must for the long term long distance haul, then 'good girl Hayley! .. Thanks for the insight which we all know said nothing at all while being most informative!!! And yes, surely she will return to family for Christmas, if only at the very last minute--as usual!!! Peter

Hi Peter,
It is probably fair to say there is always "something in the air" insofar as it takes many month of negotiation and juggling of provisional schedules and the involvement of countless other individuals, venues and organisation before details of a specific event can be announced. Certainly Hayley's schedule is under constant discussion by her management team and they will release details as soon as they are able. We will relay that information as soon as we receive clearance so to do. Until then, any discussion concerning Hayley's activities beyond July would be largely conjectural.
Just for the record, we now know that Hayley has NOT bought a flat (in London or anywhere else). Now that the UK leg of the tour is concluded, I guess there is no harm in saying that, for its duration, she was not even based in London, but Birmingham as it was considered to be more central.

Hi Roger.
That is indeed very interesting information. Well I guess Hayley can commute very easily like any other business woman! On Virgin its not much over the hour Birmingham to Euston
I hope that being 'isolated' from the Kiwi friends she implies she is grateful for in London does not make her feel even more alone or separated from family than might otherwise be the case by being in Birmingham. The concept is interesting but arguably logical, especially taking the venues of her last set of published concerts in mind. In any case, this is a work-centred lady without being a workaholic and so she has doubtless much to occupy her and her almost daily phone calls and emails home probably give her the support she needs.
Sorry Richard, I know how pleased you were that she was settled seemingly in London, perhaps hoping you might bump into her while shopping?!
In one sense, your news Roger makes me feel guilty that i have provoked a publication of something that wasn't yet ready to be divulged. It is difficult balancing the difference between being intuitive as opposed to being intrusive into her life.
I appreciate looking ahead is difficult but the sudden cessation of bookings only three months ahead obviously raises questions on someone whom one would normally expect to have a detailed six month plan and a twelve month outline schedule, even if the second six months is unpublished. So, I don't think I am being more than objectively intuitive
Thanks for the update, though.
Peter
