Media previews/reviews and fan reviews/photos of Il Divo's concert in Nottingham (preferably those mentioning Hayley!) should be posted in this thread, together with any follow-up comments.
Please stay on topic to this concert; off topic matters should be discussed in a more suitable thread or board.

Hi
I will be at this concert tomorrow night with my wife, brother and his wife. We are really looking forward to seeing Hayley again and quite looking forward to Il Divo. I am sure they will be good to see live. I will post a report and a list of "Hayley songs" tomorrow night if we are not too late back. Not sure about photos. We are half way along one side but will try our best.
George.

Hi I will be at this concert tomorrow night with my wife, brother and his wife... Hi George, it looks like you will be the first of our UK members to report on the UK leg of the tour, good luck with your efforts to take photos and I hope it's thouroughly enjoyable for you all (both halves!). I considered going to the Brighton concert (last night) but decided on the 2nd Wembley one and hopefully, one more after that. I look forward to reading your reports on it, an Il Divo fan has said Hayley's songs, set and accompaniment have all changed from the US leg! Does this mean that there are FOUR of you who can vote for Hayley for Album of the Year? Perhaps with a little persuasion? I hope so! Cheers, Dave

If the concert had been advertised to start at 7.30 in the morning, do you think you would have turned up at that time? Andrew

Hi Dave
No one in my close family will need persuading to vote for Hayley! That will ensure about a dozen votes for starters! The less close, young ones and friends might need a little more persuasion.
Andrew - I would get up and go anytime to see Hayley live. It's been ages since our last shows at the end of November in Sheffield and Tewkesbury.

Hi George, I would go to see Hayley perform at any time of the day too... I was just hinting that tomorrow is April 1st (as if you'd forgotten!)... Andrew

Ah, so that's how I missed you George!
Those were the two shows of the Fall's UK run I didn't attend. Another time no doubt!

Hi All Hayley was wonderful tonight! We had very good seats, much better than expected but as you will see the photos have not come out brilliant but hope they give a flavour of the performance. Hayley came on stage without announcement but her photograph and name were on the big screens either side of the stage. Hayley performed seven songs which I scribbled down in the dark. Didn't really need to, as I remember well every one! 1 - She Moved Through The Fair 2 - The Water Is Wide 3 - Both Sides Now 4 - Scarborough Fair5 - Amazing Grace6 - Pokarekare Ana7 - Across The Universe Of TimeIt was a great selection in my opinion. Perfect for the audience. Who I have to say were very attentive and appreciative at the end of each one. I was really surprised because I was fearing that there would be a great deal of noise and movement during Hayleys performance but most people were already seated. Whilst Hayley was singing you could hear a pin drop. So I was sure everyone was really enjoying the show. She Moved Through The Fair was fantastic! Really beautiful and haunting start which really grabbed the audiences attention. My favourites were Scarborough Fair and The Water Is Wide which have been two of my favourite songs for many years. Hayley got a great reception and left the stage. There was no encore. There were two merchandise places which were selling the new Odyssey Album, although official release is the 10th April. So I had to purchase this tonight! I am now the owner of three Odysseys. The UK and NZ versions as well as my new version. I was hoping Hayley would be around at the interval to sign copies but she was not there. Good night everyone George One other thing - The support act was Il Divo, but strangely they came on second! They were quite good and could become quite well known.

Haha, I like your style, George! Many thanks for the amazingly quick report so soon after the concert ended. After some of the reports from the US, it is pleasing to know that the audience were attentive during Hayley's set enough to hear a pin drop. I never understood why people take pins to such occasions! Roger

Hi George, Thank you for your contribution of the Nottingham Concert Report. Excellent input on your part (Sir!) The photographs do indeed capture the mood of the stage set. The lighting effect projected onto the backdrop behind Hayley looks spectacular. Was this lighting effect animated, with a "mirror ball" effect? I'm delighted to hear that the audience showed due respect to Hayley. Regards, Andrew

HI George, Thanks for the pictures and write up on the Nottingham concert, Did Hayley sign any of the merchandise during the interval? or at the end of the show? The photographs have come out quite well I thought, considering the lighting. Glad you enjoyed it, Who were the other group by the way, don't think I have heard of them? Cheers Steve H

Hayley mentioned during the show that she had laid the first slab in Nottingham Market Place that afternoon. Here is the BBC local news link - news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nottinghamshire/4868142.stm Andrew - I don't remember seeing a mirror ball. Think it was just projected coloured lights. Steve - I did not see Hayley at the interval or afterwards. Which was a shame because I think it would have been a good opportunity to meet some potential new fans and sign copies of the album. The other group were four guys who had just met. They had not known each other very long because whilst introducing each other one announced that the Spanish guy, Carlos was from Italy before the other guys corrected him. George
